The apartment was particularly comfortable and cozy, ideally located for trips to Mount Etna or Taormina. Despite the rainy weather, the warm and well-equipped apartment made our stay pleasant. Special thanks to our communicative host, who provided excellent local tips. The clean and cozy furnishings, especially the bedding and modern amenities, ensured a perfect ending to our Sicilian journey.
It's a small town by the sea... It's not very "touristy" but it's a perfect base to visit Taormina, the etna, Catania. Overall I would say it's more convenient then charming! The fish market, the port, the local park with playground and some seafood restaurants made our stay in Giarre more than ok!

Giarre is not a great tourist attraction.
Giarre is not a great tourist attraction. However it is a great center for touring East Sicily.
We found it very strange that Sicilians keep to their siesta even in winter. After sunset when it got very dark and a bit cold, we did not feel like going to a restaurant (they open at 6 or 7). So we cooked our dinners. Good for us, bad for them.

Ive been to the Etna hotel before and so I knew what to expect and wasnt disappointed. Lovely staff and facilities at a very reasonable price.
There's also a very large communal pool where you can spend all day doing lengths or stretching like I did to ease back and shoulder pain issues. The onsite courtyard restaurant is also very pleasant and lit with fairly lights giving a nice ambience.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the Etna Hotel to anyone considering it.
Excellent very clean B and B not too far from central Giarre. Very hospitable and friendly host family. An oasis in the heat with an excellent pool and relaxing garden. The room was good, well equipped, excellent WiFi and good AC. Bathroom fine too.
Very good breakfast and service, friendly atmosphere. Good restaurants we found with Simona's guidance. Great location to get on the Circumetnea train.
We spent most of our time in Sicily going around and exploring, so we didnt really spend that much time at the hotel. However, breakfast was very good, amd everything was fresh and there were good choices and varieties. The room was clean and it had everything we needed. Staff and service was really good
