A lot of history and many beautiful beachside towns near Gaeta. The beach was sandy and the water clear and beautiful along with nearby towns. There is a new peer of town and an old part of town. I needed a few more days.

We were looking for an experience that wasn’t wall to wall tourists and Gaeta in September was perfect for that. (Summer is much busier, I’m told.) There was plenty of excellent restaurant choices as well as places to visit. The beach was lovely and we had planned to spend time there; however, we ended up only walking through on our first evening in town. It is a lovely town with friendly people.
We stayed at Little Rock Guest House and loved it.

Geata is absolutely beatiful town, full of history and culture.
Plenty to do and discover for everyone beach bums and seasoned hikers .
Beaches in the area are stunning, people are friendly.
Kids enjoyed visiting different beaches everyday , waters are clear and warm in August.
They also loved apartment ,full of character with fantastic views. Near by pizzeria had plenty to offer and local ice cream are to die for.
We will visit again.

Gaeta was a small and nice seaside resort.
Gaeta was a small and nice seaside resort. Very quiet and relaxed at the time we were there; before the Italian holiday. It has some old nice streets with charming buildings and castle and churches to visit for culture.
It is a quiet place with little bars and nightlife, so not for the party-people, mostly for families and grown ups.
We were there in July and it was a bit too warm for major sightseeing, and much activity, so stay on the beach and in the sea.

The people are very friendly, that makes the difference, one lady helped me out with the bus ticket, she sold me one and explained to me how to get one. It is a beautiful place, with Monte Orlando for two hours of trekking, lovely beaches, and many restaurants, The bus from Formia costs 1.10 euros, past every 20 minutes near the hotel Mirasole. There are many trains from Formia-Naples. It is a great place!

Room was very specious, big bathroom with specious shower. Amazing view from the terrace!
Staff was very friendly, good communication. I asked for the kettle and cup to make a tea and they give it to me.
Just be aware, when you are booking that you choose the room with the terrace. One of 4 rooms they have is with no view. I ordered this one and it was very disappointing that it did not have a terrace, i ordered this hotel just because of the view.
I stayed 2 nights more and got then the right room.
Everything was perfect!
Hosts were so accommodating and kind. They provided a wonderful breakfast on the upper terrace overlooking the city and water. Perfect way to start your day.
Excellent location to explore the medieval village and a beautiful hike to the beach.
It was our favorite place during our trip to Italy. I highly recommend! Very relaxing and rich with history!
Everything about the place was perfect! Alfredo was extremely helpful and welcoming. One surprising note was the shower, it rates in my top 5 of all time! My wife and I hope to return here during our next trip in Gaeta.
