Walking around main and side streets of Fabriano always brings me something new. It's a gem of a town! The theatre often has live performances of all kinds and is a must to see even if there aren't any events. A paper-making demonstration and sometimes a hands-on class is another wonderful way to spend an afternoon (or a weekend). Food-wise, there are lots of choices and if you're around on the weekend, make sure you book. Fabrianese like to eat out in their own town so things are often booked in advance. We really like 'Osteria San Biagio' - innovative twists on local dishes and a lovely atmosphere.

We loved exploring Fabriano and the local area. It is off the normal tourist trail, despite being on a main train line with plenty to see and do once you are there. The Fabriano paper making museum is fascinating - we requested an English language tour by email and we ended up with a personalised tour, which was so appreciated - fabulous staff there. The art gallery was also well set out and very informative - we were amazed at the early artwork there. The amazing stalagmites and stalactites of the underground Frassassi caves are a short drive or train ride away and are absolutely stunning and worth the effort to get to. Nearby to the caves is walk up the hill to the Valadier temple set into a mountain cave - awesome views and well worth the uphill effort!

the hotel was very quiete 12 minutes walk to the center , very helpful and friendly receptionist lady ( she helped me find my glasses and jacket I forgot in a town 20 kilometer from there by phoning to the bar I forgot my things)
the room was huge, our bed fairly comfortable, (I brought my own pillow ), everything very simple but it was good. the refrigerator was very big . breakfast had good cakes !
Casa Caporali is in an enchanted small village not far from Fabriano, but it really gives the feeling of being 1000 miles away from cities. The welcoming and help we received from the staff was especially what remained in our hearts and the breakfast also exceptional!
The room was large and new, no mosquitoes due to the net on the windows, bathroom also perfect. Ventilation was on top with the fan.
Great room, very spacious, clean and comfortable. New structure, very friendly staff. The car park in front of the hotel is really useful and practical. The bed was super comfortable. The central position is ideal to explore the city.
