Location is out of the way near a Lake and a Racetrack (was NOT being used) Very lovely rural surroundings very quiet. You must have transport/taxi to go and eat outside hotel.
We were there end of season 14th Oct 2024 and there we very few people around, STILL the staff opened the bar and brought us drinks, once before we drove to town to eat and then again after latish evening. We sat by the pool outside and it was lit for us so NO complaintts there.
Breakfast was a good spread too and included, very good.

It all starts with the host and this young couple are fabulous. We were with them for a week and they always responded quickly and helped with all questions. The location is the best with a early morning coffee/bakery at the corner, lots of fabulous restaurants within minutes and lots of free parking near by. We enjoyed our stay in Enna very much thanks to our hosts and there accommodations.

We only stayed one night a hotel Francesca, the host was so very friendly and really helpful, the room was basic but very comfortable and had everything we needed, we didn’t stay long enough to explore the local area, the hotel was well maintained and had a nice outlook, we wish we could have stayed a little longer to explore.

Worth the bus journey. The views from Enna are spectacular. We had a beautiful meal at Il Mito di Kore on the recommendation of our hosts. We saw the cathedral and walked as far as the castle which was closed for renovation.

Enna is wonderful and cooler than other parts of Sicily because it's so high up. It is not as touristy as, say, Agrigento, so you get a better sense of actual Sicilian life. There is an amazing cemetery, the size of an entire town, a little gem of an archaeology museum, a geological park that is the supposed site of the rape of Persephone (there is evidence that this was an indigenous myth adopted by the Greeks), lots of excellent walking opportunities, and a wonderful literary cafe, Al Kenisa, in an old church with a catacomb you can visit as you have your Aperol Spritz (just mind the stairs!). Another wonderful place for an aperitivo, Bar Delizia, on the square in front of the Duomo. They serve incredible aroncini. Finally: Avoid it in the summer. Even here it's broiling in late June, July and August. April or October would be the perfect time to visit Sicily.

A nice village perfect for a long weekend and a short break.
A nice village perfect for a long weekend and a short break.
Historic alleys to walk around and in center of Sicily with amazing view.
Easy to reach with adequate free parking facilities all around village, weekends a bit hard to find easily parking though.
You can walk around, have steep hills though, need to be in good shape to walk up and down but definitely will be paid back form the views and historic alleys.
We did not try any restaurant/tratoria as we stayed short but our Landlords Pamela & Giuseppe will guide you to right places.
A worthy place to visit if you go Sicily.

Enna was a quaint old town, in fact one of the oldest towns in the central area of Sicily. It is well served with roads, safe walkways and plenty of restaurants, bars and eating places...maybe its the time we visited in May but it lacked the outdoor tables and chairs and open air dining we all love. Having said all that its imposing Castello and Churches offer a snippet of life in days gone by, a truly authentic Sicilian experience for us which is what we like. Sitting in one of its main squares looking out at a centuries old theatre was a joy while sipping our Cappuccino and savoring their Croissants with cream :) The people are nice and helpful too even if you don't speak Italian.

This stay was just awesome, every little attention to detail was spot on - it was like a 5 star hotel and so stylish. Clean, smelt fantastic when we walked in, comfortable, great location and a fantastic shower!
Fabrizio was so helpful, friendly and professional and gave us great tips for food ( Ristorante Centrale very nearby was really delicious) and what to see. Breakfast was outstanding - everything you could think of was available and delicious. Your accommodation is a credit to you Fabrizio, thank you again🙂
Beautifully decorated former hunting lodge with lots of quirky art, books and literary touches. Spacious room with a very comfortable bed. The pool was large and secluded and, as this hotel only has three rooms, we always had it to ourselves. Breakfast was delicious, using local produce. Giuliana could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Although they don't provide dinner, their sister hotel 15 minutes away does an excellent set menu that changes daily. (We went twice!)
