Great place that keeps the original building structure alive. The house has really character and history.
The owners give you a wonderful feeling of being welcome and taking care of you.. We had breakfast with local products, partly self-made, and there is attention to avoid all unnecessary waste like plastic packing.

The apartment (or holiday house) and location were really interesting and we liked it very much. Beautiful views, quiet place, no tourists, just few locals but you don't even notice them. Overall we really enjoyed our time there and would recommend it.

The best staff the in world. Felt homey because of the way they treated us. Cannot ask for more. Everyday when we enter to the room after clean, we can clearly smell the fresh and the rooms are perfectly cleaned. Terrace area is very relaxing. We sometimes spent a long time just sitting on the terrace.

Comfortable with easy access to 3 eating options , on-site breakfast was great and views tremendous.
The owners are delightful, lovely people. Their hospitality is wonderful. The property is charming but a bit more run down than the photos show. The finish work is rough, the street is noisy and the smaller room needed a bit more storage space bedside and in bathroom shelves. However, if you are used to no air conditioning and no screens on windows along with barking dogs and jackhammering in the street, the charm is real. I have real mixed feelings because these people are wonderful and their breakfasts are great. But don't go expecting fine furnishings. This is roughly finished with a lot that could be improved, but a lot of good too.
We rented bikes and rode around the lake and drove around too. Love this area.

We were there in the off season (October), and it was very sleepy. We had trouble finding places to eat, and had to visit the same mediocre restaurant twice--and we were only there for 4 days. The one tiny grocery store was also closed the first few times we tried to go there. Would not recommend staying in Dongo. Maybe there are more options during high season.
