Very nice place and friendly hosts. We only stayed for one night while driving south. We arrived late and left early. So I can't say much. It has a nice kitchen with all necessary utensils. A cute little balcony where 4 people can sit and eat comfortably. Located in a nice quiet neighborhood. We all slept well.

Unfortunately my stay in Domondossola was just an overnight one en route the Adriatic coast. I know a little of the town though and it has a long history, so for a visitor with time to spend digging about, there are a lot of interesting buildings and plenty of cafes hidden here and there ...
It is, of course, on the way up to one of the major passes across to Switzerland, the Simplon, so many of mountain views are quite spectacular.

Very interesting and pleasing small northern Italian town. Make sure you have a drink in the market square. There was an excellent outdoor wind-band music performance in a nearby square one evening.
Lovely scenery and a short (1 hour) bus/train trip to Lake Maggiore which is well worth doing.

The historic piazza Mercato and the area there(just round the cornner and ?100 m down a shopping street) was wonderful. Modern services with cafes/restaurants and interesting shops made up the perimeter of the piazza . Despite its comfort and accommodation of modern details the historic atmosphere and authenticity wasn't compromised. There was a fabulous bookshop (for almost any subject I think) but brilliant for alpinism/alpine history. Supermarkets were <1km away, train <1 km away, peaceful at night - you can't not love it which is why people from Switzerland cross the border to enjoy life in some warmer sun

If you don't speak Italian and you don't have your own car...
If you don't speak Italian and you don't have your own car either skip Domodossola or make sure you are staying in a place right in town. Once you leave the center of town it's not a walkable place. The drivers race everywhere despite the narrow streets, there aren't any sidewalks in the residential areas and it's extremely difficult to find anyone who can speak English.
On the positive side the prices were a lot lower for everything than in Switzerland and the architecture and scenery was beautiful.

Lovely medieval old town, nice restaurants in the main square, not many tourists there. Amazing mountain views all around .Good base for the Centovalli rail journey through to Locarno . Don’t miss the steep hillside walk up the Calvario , amazing views .

The apartment is large, spacious, comfortable and well furnished. It has a terrace and a patio with a table and chairs in the backyard. In the kitchen you can find everything you are looking for. The internet is fast and reliable. The parking is private, convenient, and is in the yard in front of the apartment, which is a great advantage for the center of Domodossola.
Paolo and Claudia were super friendly and helpful hosts! They greeted us on arrival and Paolo also gave some really good recommendations on places to eat and activities around Domodossola. There's private parking behind a gate and the house was new and well furnished. We stopped by here for a couple of days on the way to Lake Como and it's an amazing stay.
The apartment is located in the heart of the old part of Domodossola. The piazza buzzes with atmosphere and the apartment is beautiful. The hosts added lots of surprises to make us feel very welcome and a little bit spoilt. I highly recommend this apartment. It is exceptional value for money.
High on the valley wall above Domodossola to give wonderful views of mountains and (less wonderful) town far below.

Cosy split level apartment.
Lovely hotel right in the centre of town with private secure parking, lovely room, outdoor pool (although we didn't get to use it - one night stay) and great breakfast.
