We have been touring Italy for almost 2 months and this was our favorite place. The location, and especially the staff, were exceptional. We could not have been treated better. We loved what they are doing with a 4-500 year old building.
My wife said there were absolutely no bad smells! We slept great. Breakfast was typical and tasty. And we were able to visit the entire old town from a central location.

I have been home for over a week and cannot stop thinking about my stay at B & B L’Orizzonte.
Picture this, an American girl who embarrassingly cannot speak Italian, traveling by herself, to Crotone for a friend’s wedding. Sounds like a screenplay. When I decided to go to the wedding and began looking for places to stay B&B L’Orizzonte immediately caught my eye. The pictures seduced me, and I am here to tell you that this B&B is even more beautiful in person. My room was spacious, modern yet homey and sun splashed with a beautiful view of the sea. The creme da la crème was my private balcony facing the sea. The outdoor patio with the most comfortable lounge chairs surrounded by beautiful pots of succulents and tropical plants was where I spent many afternoons reading and relaxing in the surroundings. Breakfast was scrumptious with delicious pastries from a local café and generous amounts of espresso and fresh fruit. However, the most wonderful part of my stay, were the hosts. They are the kindest and most lovely couple. Every day I looked forward to seeing them at breakfast and then again, most afternoons. After I told them how much I loved the bed linens and asked where I could purchase similar linens to bring home, they took me to the linen shop. The night before my very early am departure, they waited up for me, after dinner, to say goodbye-tears were shed. When my ride fell through for the airport they worked magic and arranged a taxi. I have been fortunate to travel and without a doubt, B&B L’Orizzonte is my most favorite place on earth. I highly recommend staying at this amazing home. Other highlights are that you are directly across the street from the public beach with gin clear water, easy walk into Crotone from the location. You can also head south on Vialle Magna Grecia for a great walk-I spent an afternoon wandering the streets of the hillsides off of Vialle Magna Grecia enjoying the architecture, fauna and views.

The location was idyllic and the facilities regards restaurants, bars etc. were excellent. Crotone is an all round beautiful spot and we would recommend it to all travellers.
The very best thing about Crotone are the hosts at Palazzotto, they were incredibly obliging and friendly, we have travelled a lot worldwide but Rossana and her husband were superb and quite exceptional. It was really worth the travel all the way from Australia. We would go back there at the very first opportunity.

Honestly, at first, I did not like Crotone.
Honestly, at first, I did not like Crotone. My first two days were difficult but also a learning experience. Crotone does not receive many American tourists, especially single female travelers, and embarrassingly, I cannot speak Italian-even though I do try. I struggled the first two days and in my struggle was shooed out of two restaurants. However, my struggle apparently endeared me to other eateries and Crotone grew on me quickly. Crotone is an undiscovered gem. There is a mix of ancient history, Castello Carol V which was built in 840 A.D.and modern apartment buildings. It is a place where the sea takes center stage. Beach clubs dot the coastline with their sorbet-colored umbrellas and restaurants serve seafood so fresh you can taste the ocean. Oleander blooms along the walkways and bougainvillea spills over whitewashed walls while cactus and succulents grow in terracotta pots. Crotone is a place your heart is happy to find. It is not over commercialized. Crotone is genuine and confident in who she is-as are the people. The people are hardworking, genuine, kind, and passionate. Crotone is a jewel waiting to be placed in a crown and until the rest of the world discovers this rare jewel, I will happily return again and again.

Beautiful natural scenery, and the people of Crotone are the most friendly, welcoming bunch you will ever meet. It’s a hidden gem in the south of Italy! Do yourself a favour and visit. You will not be disappointed.

Crotone is an Italian resort with few foreign tourists. The prices of accommodation, drinks, food etc are reflected in the fact that this is a relatively poor area. It does have a long sea front with great bars, restaurants and an excellent beach. Crotone is underrated as a destination.

Crotone is an Italian resort in the fact that there are not many foreign tourists. That is then reflected in the prices of food, drink and accommodation. Crotone is in an excellent setting and is picturesque. The people are welcoming and friendly.
Short stroll to crystal clear sandy swimming beach. A great place to escape for a beachside vacation. Close to great well priced eateries and room comes with a complimentary Cappuccino and Cornetto at the neighbouring Gelateria. Not so many tourists in Crotone. More authentic Italian location. Apartment was comfortable and well equipped.
I would highly recommend B&B Benvenuti al Sud!!!! Alessandro was a great host, very helpful and kind.
I give Alessandro 10+++++!!!

The room was perfect clean and cozy, the hotel is located in the heart of the city center, 10 minutes walking from the beach and 2 minutes from the historical center.
The staff is very kind, available and welcoming.
This is a beautiful and modern b&b. Owner/manager was a very nice and accommodating man. Very clean and locatated close to all Crotone has to offer. Highly reccommend as its excellent value.
Very quirky family hotel with lovely family members working there . The dinner in the restaurant was excellent & access to the private beach was easy .well done to all.
