The wonderful young man running the small hotel went above and beyond to help us figure out how to bus through a few towns. He was so patient with my friend and I. He deserves a raise

This is a hidden gem. Located in a wonderfully updated, cozy yet comfortable flat. Just steps off the beautiful town square.
A calm delightful town. It deserves to be better known in the area. The atmosphere was very relaxing to walk around. On Mondays most shops are closed. We experienced the lively café culture on Tuesday morning. Loads of cyclists passing through. The monastery is exceptionally interesting. We bought food in the supermarket and cooked for ourselves. Would be happy to visit again.

It has a small-town feel, with a pleasant old-town feel. It is also highly recommended for hikers due to its proximity to the Alps.
I can recommend the restaurant Ristorante Pizzeria al Cervo D'Oro - and not just for the traditional Italian food

Cividale is a truly charming little town with wonderful medieval streets, buildings, squares and museums. It's a quiet, historic town and ideal as a base to discover the Friuli region. Udine is just a short ride away, the Slovenian border only a few kms away. If you are a wine enthusiast like myself you have small wine bars around the town serving the delicious local Friulian wines and there are many vineyards just a short drive away. There is a good choice of restaurants serving the local cuisine. Definitely a place to revisit.

Cividale is a town founded by Julius Caesar and it was the capital of the longobards in Italy and the Patriarch of Aquileia so it has a long and interesting history. There's a great museum has extensive coverage of the history go Cividale going back to pre roman times and up to the Hapsburgs. The museum has extensive displays of longobard artefacts found in burial sites. If you go out at night you will see that Cividale also has excellent restaurants and cafes and a vibrant night life. The historic precinct of the city is vast and includes many churches, an abbey, the famous Longboard chapel, historic homes. Also nearby there is a museum of the Great War. There is so much to see here. Also see the nearby abbey of Castelmonte and if you drive just 25 kilometres to the east you will be in the famous Collio wine region where some of Italy's most exceptional wines are produced.

Amazing renovated wine yard farm with a great swimming pool and modern rooms.
Rooms have everything you need, same with the bathroom (with a fantastic shower).
The bed was very comfortable. The room also got a fridge and A/C.
Breakfast was very good, although limited.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The location is a walking distance away from a small town with a few very good restaurants and a short 5min drive from Cividale del Friuli.
We recommend seeing the surroundings by bike (which they can store for you).
Amazing, beautiful, stylish and very spacious appartment right in the middle of the old town. Very friendly, nice and helpfull owner and the staff. Even if we were a little late, nice lady kindly waited for us. English speaking staff. We could also store bikes. Absolutely delicious european breakfast, the best I've ever had in whole Italy. Best place to stay in Cividale!
Our location....it was superb, the city centre 200 mts away, with the Medieval Festival in full swing. We had a Bar next door, and a coffee shop and patisserie next to that! Heaven.
Our room was the most creative and fun place to be. Forget hotel rooms, this was full of character and turned a small space into a cosy hideaway.
Lovely hotel and staff. Excellent Breakfast was enjoyable and had a good selection with attentive staff. Room was clean with the essentials. Hotel central, everything I’ve needed during my visit to Cividale
