I had a bus to catch the next morning which was about a 40 minute walk away. Benitos Mum, who had kindly checked me in and been really patient despite my speaking no Italian, explained this to Benito. They then organised a family friend to drive me to the bus at 6.15am….which was incredibly kind and not necessary at all but so appreciated! These hosts are fabulous. And the accommodation is super comfortable and clean.

we spent two nights at Casale degli Ulivi and found it memorable.Leonardo and Pina made us very welcome .The facilities are modern and spacious , set in a rural environment amongst their Olive grove. Leonardo is a very good chef and we enjoyed both evening meals here of regional cuisine.The two of them make a great team. We were travelling by train to Ciro and Pina met us to return three kms to the Casale.Ciro is an important wine region in Calabria there is much to see and visit local Cantinas.We highly recommend a stay at this establishment.

The room was big enough and pretty clean with a big shower and big king bed. The owner was very nice and explained everything for our staying. There was a complete breakfast. I'd go back again.

Really good beach hotel. The staff was just great and very helpful, they even brought us to a restaurant and picked us up again afterwards. The beach nearby is a bit rough and rocky, but there is a good swimming area sheltered by some big rocks.
