Best Western Parco Paglia Hotel, hotel in Chieti

This property offers a Special Protection Program, a strict program of precise safeguards dedicated to our guests and our staff.

The room was clean and a good size. We had been travelling for a few weeks and there was enough space for our two large suitcases and two carry on cases without compromising space. The bed was firm and comfortable. The shower was large with good water pressure. Breakfast was ample with varied foods to select from and the baristas who made the coffees were friendly and made great coffee.

Agriturismo il Quadrifoglio, hotel in Chieti

Offering a garden equipped with an outdoor pool with panoramic views and a picnic area, Agriturismo il Quadrifoglio is 2 km from Chieti. It offers elegant rooms featuring free WiFi.

The place looks like a small paradise on the top of Chieti and I hope to get the chance to return. So many flowers, plants, sweet details, different seats to relax, very nice apartment, sweet pool spot, lots of green, amazing view down the valley. It is so obvious the place is being loved and taken care for by locals.

Galé Suite Apartment, hotel in Chieti

Situated within 45 km of Majella National Park and 15 km of Gabriele D'Annunzio House, Galé Suite Apartment features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Chieti.

Location next to the train station and near many options to eat. There is no noise from the trains as they run on the other side, where the bathroom window is. It was very clean and completely new. Nice bathroom, good AC, electronic blinds. Automatic check-in via app worked well and I really liked it, but you need an internet connection to check-in with this method. There is a lift, should you need it.

A nice town (speaking only of the historic center) with a few museums, ethnological sites, good food with extremely reasonable prices (compared to Rome). The people are nice, friendly, very limited tourists, asians to be seen. In the center, most restaurants offer meat/pasta...You'd have to go outside of the center to find well reviewed/rated fish restaurants and to get to Trabocco, it takes about an hour by car. I travelled alone and on foot so it wasn't easy to get to Trabocco nor did I want to pay for 1hr ride. There are many great restaurants in the center with great prices and offering huge servings (Casamoro - highly recommend). The town is easily accessible by train or bus from Rome. Due to the elevation, it may affect your skin. All in all, it's very peaceful, quiet, and great value for money.

Chieti is split into 2 towns - the "bottom" town where the train comes in. There is nothing to see here other than a main, noisy street with take-away pizza restaurants - hardly anything was open and it felt like a ghost town. Then there is "Chieti Historic Centre" up a very steep hill about 4kms away (good luck with the bus timetable - a lottery!). Cute little place where all but one restaurant was closed and most of the shops were closed. Nice (small) church in a lovely square, which was deserted and only had one bar/cafe. Main street runs from one end to the other - deserted during the daytime and barely alive at night! We found a nice park with a lovely restaurant (which was closed on Mondays). Honestly - there is NOTHING to see or do in Chieti unless you want to sit in the same bar all day (only bars and cafes or DREADFUL pizzerias were open), eating ice cream or drinking coffee. Don't waste your time visiting.

Chieti is a lovely, peaceful town high above the valley. Perfect for a stopover for a couple of days. We discovered some excellent restaurants, serving both meat and pasta options. The town has a large park for walking and relaxing in and a museum.

Chieti (and Abruzzo as a whole) feel like undiscovered gems in Italy. The old town is large and interesting, the main Piazza del Duomo is being worked on and will look amazing when done, the food is absolutely to die for and half the price relative to standard Northern Italian tourist areas. It was a stopover for us on a drive to Puglia, but we are already thinking about when we can return.

Davide makes you feel a local to Chieti..!! The owner Davide gives you the most hospitable feeling. He gives all info on the city you need to know and more. His recommendations are all spot on. We have been at gems of restaurants, we learned which beaches you can go best. He even kept parking space available for us. In a city area where foreign cars are not allowed he just needs your license plate and makes sure you wont get a ticket.. We cant possible say anything else but BIG THANKS

Loved everything about our accommodation at Mirabel. The apartment had a luxurious feel to it and it’s location was very special overlooking the entire township of Chieti Scalo. The surrounding outdoor area was exceptional with its views, nestled amongst olive trees and other local fauna was truly peaceful yet energising. This accommodation is a 10 / 10 hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

The location is great, it's close to everything. The apartment was very clean and the host even left some snacks (not some, quite a lot of). She also helped us with the transport information. All in all, if you're thinking of staying in Chieti, choose this apartment without thinking twice.

Modern yet stylish, lots of nice little touches. Easy to walk into Chieti (take the longer less steep route if you're not feeling adventurous), and a great base for exploring the beautiful countryside and charming villages.
