We stayed here for a night on a bike trip in the area and we couldn’t be happier. Yes, as many say, the rooms are “basic” but for 80€ a night for two, this is excellent value for money! The room is clean and comfortable, and we had great rest. I also recommend to take breakfast, there was a great variety of choices.
Safe storage room for bikes was also great.
Mostly, we appreciated the kind and super helpful receptionist. We felt very welcomed.
We hope to be back and will recommend this place to stay in the area for all our friends.

The room was lovely. It was a beautiful blend of ancient stone walls with modern luxurious touches such as high quality bedding and a coffee machine. The bed was really comfortable as was the furniture. In a great location within walking distance of many lovely eateries as well as natural wonders. Francesca was a wonderful host who provided very clear directions and explanations. Overall a fabulous place that will definitely revisit.

We stayed there only for two nights.
We stayed there only for two nights. We've been skiing in Madesimo and sleeping in Chiavenna. We didn't spend a lot of time there. We went for dinner one night, Ristorante Pizzeria l'Arca - a place to recommend, however, the atmosphere in the evening was shady and most of the buildings looked abandoned.

We were just passing on our way to sankt moritz, and had to stay, because of a heavy rain. We found a last minute offer in Pianazzola, which is a small village above Chiavenna. That place was absolutely stunning. Old stone houses, beautiful views, magical atmosphere. There goes very steap road, which was fun to ride on a motorbike.

A lovely little town which has a lot of mediterranean flair, though it's situated in alpine surroundings. Beautiful old town with nice piazzas and restaurants. Not very touristic, it has still a lot of northern italian authenticity.

Chiavenna is a picturesque town, which was apparently quite prosperous in medieval times, and many of the old buildings are well preserved. The mountain views are gorgeous. Our only regrets were that it rained throughout our day there, and we were unable to stay longer.

Chiavenna is a cute little town.
Chiavenna is a cute little town. There are couple of restaurants, bars and shops to visit. Its around 50min of beautiful twsting road from St.Moritz Swizzerland. Its an ideal place if you want to visit the Swiss side but with out spending a fortune.
Apartment was excellent and had everything you needed. There was some drink in the fridge for your arrival and there were breakfast items such as cake too. There were even some glutton free bits.
Owner was super nice and met us at the bus stop when we arrived.
Great place to visit chiavenna and if you are going to walk in the area.
Great location in the pedestrian zone of Chiavenna, with the terrace overlooking the river. Friendly and helpful owners. Rich and tasty breakfast. Spacy and clean room with classy, modern interior (we stayed at the Canton room, I believe).
