Stefano was absolutely amazing. Our flight was massively delayed and we only managed to get to the hotel at midnight. Stefano not only waited for us but also greeted us with a smile and took time to tell us there's been plenty of snowfall and where it would be great for us to go skiing. The following day he greeted us at 7.30 with the same smile serving delicious fresh coffee and pastry. Absolute superstar! The place is very central, with shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Overall we loved it and will hopefully be back.

The owner Nicholas and his Dad are such lovely people, they really take care of their guests. We had to check-in at 1am and they accommodated that without charging us.
The food is really amazing, breakfast and dinner.
The bathrooms have been renovated, so very modern we enjoyed that!

We had a most memorable time - and the best meal we had in the whole of Italy - in Castione della Presolana. Despite the fact that we were not able to communicate in Italian, our host at Rifugio del Risol and ALL the people of this charming town made us feel more than welcome. We were invited to have dinner at the Trattoria Risol at a discount and had a marvellous meal and an exceptional breakfast there. The kindness of strangers made all the difference. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Stayed in Aurora for 5 day ski trip to Presolona area. Nicholas & his family could not have been more helpful & courteous. The food for breakfast & dinner was first class & very reasonably priced. Nothing was too much bother including an unexpected trip to the local hospital after I had an unfortunate fall on the ice. Nicholas was our very own tour guide of the area informing us about local history, cuisine & of course the weather! The 1/2m fresh snow during our stay was just the icing on the cake.
Very nice hotel, just in the middle of Castione and very close to the Monte Pora facilities if you want to spend some time on the snow. The room is very nice, just renewed and with very comfortable bed and a very beautiful bathroom.
Very good breakfast and the restaurant is excellent!
