I liked how it was more of a beach town.

I liked how it was more of a beach town. There were still a good amount of tourist in late September and I felt safe alone. There are many shops, restaurants, tours to Scopello and other places. I could have defiantly seen everything in less time but I liked the vibe so much four nights was great.

We were disappointed in this town when we first arrived during the day. We were only staying there to visit the Tonnara di Scopello, which we forgot to buy tickets for so we didn't get to see it. But the town came alive in the evening and we had one of our best meals ever at a restaurant recommended by the hotel receptionist - Egesta Mare. We ended up really enjoying our time here.

Great choice of Restaurants and Bars.

Great choice of Restaurants and Bars. The port area is good for walking around. Good cultural events and walking reveals churches and communities. Can hire self drive boats to explore the surrounding sea and coves and snorkelling.

We stayed în the heritage area, the old city at the sea front. It is very nice! One of the problems în Sicily and also în Castellammare del Golfo is the transportation as you are dependent on renting a car. Due to the contemporary constrains, I think a better public transport network and better public connections to the main cities is a must do for the administration and a better welcome for tourists.

Pretty fishing town in a quiet area of Sicily.

Pretty fishing town in a quiet area of Sicily. Good selection of bars and restaurants along the harbour and within the town. Not a huge amount to see culture wise but a lovely place to base yourself and explore the surrounding countryside and beaches.

We were upgraded from a standard to a superior room overlooking the sea, with a king bed and two single beds, although we were just 2. The view from the room is amazing. Upon arrival we were also treated with free drinks at the bar next to the pool. There is a free and public parking space right across the road from the hotel. The hotel is midway between the town of Castellammare and the beach. You may walk to the town centre (15 minutes on foot) but walking to the beach may be a bit far (there's a free shuttle thought!).

A perfect location to explore nearby towns and beaches. Castellammare del Golfo is a gorgeous little town with great restaurants. It's easy to walk around. We hired a motorboat to access the beaches from the water. We drove to Lo Zingaro Reserve and hiked the trail and swam in the water - fabulous, not to be missed.
