Good location just off the motorway but quiet. Large room, firm but comfortable bed. Clean. Good breakfast. Excellent staff especially the waiting staff. I stayed for four nights and used it as a base to see the monastery and war cemeteries and Caserta and Herculaneum and it was ideally situated for that purpose.

The shops close in town about 1-2pm so if you need supplies get them first. The man in supermarket was quite rude when I didn't understand that he closed at 2pm.

The villa is gorgeous and immaculate.
The villa is gorgeous and immaculate. Decorated splendidly - every detail - tablecloths, cups, tile, all gorgeous
The host is personable and helpful. We had a lovely conversation.
The golden retriever welcomed me when i pulled in
The air is fresh and clean -- mountain air.
Quiet neighborhood - excellent for retreat.
Just up the road is a wonderful family owned restaurant to have dinner.
Definitely need a car up here.
Be careful walking on the roads -- the traffic comes fast and there are no pedestrian sidewalks.
Bring some foodstuffs: bottled water and whatever you like to drink; snacks, sandwiches... whatever you need
the internet was spotty upstairs --

This is a first rate hotel to stay in particularly if you are interested in WW2. We had stayed in a different hotel on an earlier visit, and we think Edra Palace was better. Staff being helpful was a great bonus. Ambience and sitting outside was great. We found several excellent local restaurants which added to the pleasure of our visit.

The town of Cassino has lovely streets to walk and explore many restaurants. Naturally a visit to the Abbey is a must and worth it. There is a shuttle departing from the station for 1€. There are other military museums which my husband loved. Believe me, the walk is a steep uphill all the way up! Where we stayed, we were afforded stunning views of the town below and misty mountains. The church bells play a minute long tune at 7am. Worth rushing out to capture or listen to. The bus and trains run like clockwork. Don’t miss this town.

First visit MonteCassino and also the war graves. Cassino is central place, with a car to explore surrounding areas. There is a good supermarket with excellent deli counter at the opposite end from the property, a walking distance away.

The battle of Monte Cassino was a pivotal point of the war in Europe. Many brave men lost their lives there for the freedoms we enjoy today. It was an honour to see where they fought and died and the commonwealth war cemetery is one of the most moving places I have ever been

We arrived quite late and the owner was waiting for us in front of the house. The villa is amazing, the room was big enough with a huge private bathroom. You can use the kitchen and there was a little breakfast for us. Everything is spotless. There is a good restaurant right in front, which was very convenient. There is a nice garden with swimming pool and a lovely dog. 10min away from Cassino center and 20min from Monte Cassino
This seems like a family run hotel and they are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is a little away from downtown Cassino but they recommended a local taxi driver who took us wherever and whenever we wanted, all for a very reasonable price.
The staff were full of knowledge re the Battle of Cassino, and would recommend the hotel to anyone. Huge amount of memorabilia and well placed for the town and sightseeing. Good breakfast, nice coffee and great local red wine.
We really liked our room. It was very spacious and it had a beautiful balcony there we could see monte cassino and the monastery. The personal was very nice ad helpful.
