Rita was more than welcoming, helped us to resolve a logistics issue.
Our room was big, spotlessly clean, we had a tasty breakfast served by our hostess

I will definitely start take care with the property's rating on Booking.com.
Most guests are European or American, and they value "friendliness", smiling, waving, calling by name and find it beautiful to stay in a homely atmosphere.
They don't care about comfort, high standard of services, quality of bed, furniture, shower, 24-hour reception and everything that a reasonable hotel has, expensive investment objective.
But they don't give a good evaluation because they consider the treatment to be impersonal.
This is the case with this hotel.
Great and the same price as many bed&breakfasts
Great hotel
Best possible location
Close to the train station and Caserta's main attraction, Palacio Reggia, about 200 meters from both places.
Large room, comfortable, good wifi, safe and quiet.
Great and efficient staff.
Very good breakfast with several sweet options and also the savory and healthy part, such as fresh mozzarella, eggs, cold cuts, natural yogurt, granola, assorted nuts
Comfortable bed

The palace park was ok to visit but having visited Villa d'Este (Tivoli) earlier in my trip, it was not hugely interesting.
However visiting the Roman amphitheatre/arena at Capua (a short train journey away) was stunning.

Caserta has lots of boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars if that is what you are into. The only point of interest is the Palace and we found it pricey. I don’t know what forms of transport they have. We never saw a bus. Everyone was either driving, biking or walking.

Caserta is worth visiting to see the Royal Palace and Gardens.
However, we did not allow enough time to visit them properly.
We ate at Punto 17, a short walk from our hotel. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent, authentic Italian.

It’s worth seeing the Reggia itself.
It’s worth seeing the Reggia itself. It takes about an hour. However, we did not visit the massive gardens. There are shuttles, bicycles etc. for the more lively amongst you; that’s worthwhile, I’m sure! You pay extra, of course, for the transport. The gardens looked impressive and were included in the entry fee. Shopping in town (Portofino for linen shirts, for example), lunch (Zio Pepe Pescheria) were well worth it! 😍. It’s easy to walk around but do use Google to search for the interesting shopping and restaurants to maximize your time.

The palace was amazing, the town was great but it is also a quiet relaxed place but close to Naples, Caiazzo, etc. if we’d know it was as close to places we would have booked 3-5 nights there. The breakfast was great.

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Caserta
This grand hotel takes your breath away from the moment you step inside. Everything about the stay was exceptional. We felt like we were living in a castle. The chandelier and ceiling in the atrium has to be seen to be believed. The decor is perfect to match it. Service top notch, great breakfast and dining room. The swimming pool area is also outstanding. No need to leave the hotel. Close taxi ride to Grand Palace in Caserta designed by same architect as hotel!
Pleasant hotel in an otherwise scruffy town. The hotel is well situated for a walk to the Reggia di Caserta. The Reggia is an amazing palace that exceeds Versailles in size and is a highly recommended if in the area. This hotel is a good choice if visiting the Reggia
The breakfast was amazing with a variety of choices. Everything was great! It was the best hotel that we stayed at in Italy. We were at 3 other ones in Rome, Venice and Positana.
