Our stay at Casa Morgano, now combined to be Scalinatella Hotel, was exceptional. The location is ideal, with the most magical view of the cliffs, the sea and the seagulls soaring between the two. There are two gorgeous pools with the most comfortable poolside recliners. You could very well never leave the hotel and be extraordinarily happy. The room was extremely spacious, with a beautiful balcony, an amazing view and the most gracious cleaning staff. This hotel is so worth it!

Capri is stunning in terms of geography and views.
Capri is stunning in terms of geography and views. The town is up from Marina Grande (the port where most arrive) and there is a cable car that takes you up to the main square, the Piazzetta. The town is unique and given the geography there are no regular roads (for cars), but small sidewalks linking houses hotels that is something very unique. The piazzetta has four bar/restaurants surrounding with outside seating, and is a bustling place to see and be seen. Highlights for us are the town itself, Villa Jovis (residence of a Roman emperor), the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra), the piazetta, and beaches at Il Fariglioni or Marina Piccola. For those that like a good walk or hike there are paths around various aspects of the island. We like the hike up to Monte Solero - this is a hard hike not for the faint of heart but is rewarded by fantastic views, a beautiful secluded church, and the restaurant on top (one can also take a chairlift up from Anacapri). If you do it, you burn enough calories to eat and drink what you want the entire day! Anacapri is very different and quieter, but definitely worth a visit if one has time.
One must be aware of a few things which may be viewed as pros or cons. Capri does have a 'jetset' vibe, particularly around the piazzetta, with prices to match. it also is a big destination for tourists coming on cruises for day tours, so the town center can become very crowded for the middle of the day (better to be walking around or at a beach in peak hours). The beaches are rocky, but the many very unique owing to formed by lava rocks (e.g. La Fontelina). None of the above limited our enjoyment and we find Capri to be a truly unique and magical destination

Capri was our favorite place in the Amalfi Coast.
Capri was our favorite place in the Amalfi Coast. Super classy and we would have stayed longer but our trip was already booked and planned. Everything about Capri is magical!! The people, restaurants, shopping etc. Taking a private boat tour was the best! The taxis are so different and everything is beautiful!! Capri our new favorite place!!! Not sure if its super kid friendly as it has a lot of stairs, ups and downs and strollers are probably not easy to handle. SUPER CLASSY!
Restaurants the we recommend (reserve) Panorama, Capri, Genario. The best pasta we ate on the whole Amalfi Coast was at the Panorama restaurant. Super recommend Capri. We were there for only 3 days and should have stayed at least 5.

We love Capri.
We love Capri. This was our second time on the island and we will be back next year. It has so much to offer, beauty, history, culture and so much more. It is about a 50 minutes ferry trip from Naples or Sorrento and well worth the journey. When you arrive either get the Fornicula or a taxi to Capri Town. We walked it on our first visit and to say it is a challenge is an understatement 😅 We would recommend a visit to the Villa Margherita for exceptional food. It is minutes from the La Floridiana Hotel and the owner Pietro D’Emilio always has a warm welcome.

Never leave Capri without visiting to Monte Solaro.
Never leave Capri without visiting to Monte Solaro. Take the 12 minute chairlift to admire Capri more. You will have the 360 breathtaking view at the top of Monte Solaro. Avoid the peak season of summer to get to the Blue Lagoon. Unless you want to wait 2 hours under the sun for the long line to get inside.

Beautiful island with exciting history and plethora of interesting places to visit. I recommend boat trip around the island with swimming stops, Augusto’s gardens, Villa Saint Michele and just to stroll around the idyllic streets of Capri. Unfortunately, many hotels, restaurants and other services have overpriced themselves during the past few years which seems to impact the number of visitors staying overnight. With more reasonable pricing and keeping some level of service attitude, more people would definetely come and enjoy Bella Capri for longer which is really recommended. For eating out, try Bagni di Tiberio’s restaurant for lunch (you can also stay for beach) or Ristorante Il Geranio Capri which has great views and good quality food and service. For apero, Il Piccolo facing Piazzetta is recommended - pricy but stylish with nice salty snacks together with your spritz.
Very nice appartment. Very easy to access and to move in Capri. Its located just on Dolce e Gabbana, hublot, rolex and others brand. In front of us there is the new Hotel la Palma, a 5 stars hotel. All was very clean and Luigi is been very kind with us. We would came back in spring time.
Nice hotel with a good location (port) convenient to visit Capri. The staff was very welcoming and cheerful. Nice room with a terrace with a view on the port. The restaurant on the roof was worth trying (excellent parmigiana!)
Everything is very authentic, breathes Italy, the kitchen is small, but the space of the apartments allows you to feel normal. For Capri, it is the best option for an economical vacation.
