Capannori is a very beautiful area, not too far from Lucca.
Ostello La Salana is very affordable, the property of the hostel is large and the building well facilitated for a hostel,
but it is not properly sustained by the owners of the hostel.
When I was to check out I asked if it would be okay for me to eat breakfast at the hostel, even though I was late for the check out, in which the owner was kind to say yes.

Surrounded by the Tuscan countryside, 8 km from Lucca, Relais Del Lago is a 17th-century stone country house. Its large garden features a pool with a whirlpool.
The location in the middle of a vineyard with peach trees all around is absolutely beautiful. Not too far from Lucca and places like San Gimignano or Volterra are well within reach. We even saw a few wild boars at night :-) The owner, Pietro, is an exceptionally all around nice guy! He checked with us at least once a day to see if we needed something and brought us vegetables and fruit ... Beautiful peaceful place! Highly recommended ... we will come back (maybe even this year)!
Everything was absolutely amazing. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. Communication was simple. I recommend it even for those who are not so familiar with languages. Mrs. Kika made an effort and we always agreed very simply. The accommodation is in a beautiful location, close to everywhere. It is close to the sea and to beautiful Tuscan towns such as Sam Gimighiani or Voltera. The beautiful town of Lucca is just 10 minutes away. We really liked the ViaReggio beach.
