The pool was the highlight of our stay! It had a lot of chairs, was nice temperature and you get big towels from the hotel. Note that the pool is closed between 1-3pm (open 9am-1pm and 3-7pm.
The breakfast was great, with lots of options, huge buffet with breads, cheeses, meats, fresh fruit, cakes, pancakes, yoghurts and many sweet options.
The hotel itself is slightly outdated but still very clean. We slept on the 12th floor and had an amazing view over Etna, especially during sunrise!
There are around 15-20 parking places at the hotel, we always got a spot but there’s a big parking space down the road from the hotel so parking should not be an issue.

I planned our visit to Caltagirone because I love Italian ceramics. Overall, I was disappointed in the area where the touristic attractions are concentrated because we never found a lively piazza or busy street of shops and restaurants like so many other places we visited. Granted, it was a Sunday evening and the area is small — it took us about 15 minutes to walk from our hotel near the famous steps to the Museum of Ceramics. The scattered ceramic shops seemed to have the same wares we saw in many other towns/cities around Sicily. In a do-over, I would stop by for an afternoon at the museum (we found the artifacts interesting despite very little signage in English) but not stay over. That said, we had a good dinner at a restaurant near the steps called ninebistrot, where it felt like we were eating in a cave because the medieval architecture is exposed; the view from the bridge near the Diocesian museum was a charming surprise; and you could have a good time wandering around looking at churches. We were also happy with our hotel, Trio d’Archi, which had a hospitable proprietor, extensive breakfast offerings if you sign up for the meal, and actually free parking about a block away that actually had available spaces when we arrived around 6pm on a mid-September Sunday.

The most beautiful city of Sicily mainly thanks to the ubiquitous ceramics in public spaces, balconies, ceramic workshops and shops. We recommend the restaurant Floriano, where we had a very good meal in a pleasant environment and at a reasonable price.

Caltagirone is a nice city, having friendly people around and very helpful.
Lots of restaurants offering good food with moderate prices.
A city rich in history, offering beautiful views from its highest points.
Also it offers a roads connection to other cities like Catania on one side and Gela on the other.

The city is full of wonderful ceramic shops.
The city is full of wonderful ceramic shops. Once you find a spot to park, and it is free to park in the town, it is very walkable, although very hilly. If the weather turns bad, the town actually disappears into the fog. We found some wonderful ceramics here. I would have liked to have had a longer time to more fully explore the town.
The location of the town is excellent for visiting eastern and southeastern Sicily and also there were a many places where you can get nice view on surroundings, or just seat in a cafe and enjoy. The apartment is in a quiet place of the historic center, parking was very close, Wi Fi was perfect and especially we liked the nice air in the morning and during the nights.
Incredibly hospitable hosts who gave us a lot of information for our visit. The position of the apartment is unbeatable. Seconds from everything in the old part of Caltagirone with restaurants every few steps. An absolutely incredible breakfast hand delivered every morning of delicious local pastries - not just one but 2 different delicious local pastries each.
Exceptional! Freshly refurbished, spotless clean and very well equipped apartment right in the heart of Caltagirone, only a couple hundred metres from the Scala di Santa Maria del Monte. The landlady is lovely and most helpful. The cherry on the cake is the terrace overlooking the roofs of the old town!
A dream location in picture perfect, very authentic Caltagirone. Avoid yourself some stress and park your car at the free parking at the town's northern edge, just a 300 meter walk. Best value for money apartment during my Sicily trip. Well equipped, sober, but tastefully decorated.
