We discovered that Bronte is not a walkable town, not a place that can be easily explored on foot like the many other Sicilian towns we visited. The hills are very steep, there are no sidewalks and there are no taxis in Bronte. I can’t emphasize that enough… no taxis in Bronte! The bus and train do not run on Sundays, so if you don’t have a car and are scheduled to depart on a Sunday, you will be stranded or will have to pay big money for a driver to come get you (our experience). We wish we would have known these details when planning our trip.

We booked three months ago for the pistacchio festa.
We booked three months ago for the pistacchio festa. Shortly before we arrived we learned the festival had been moved to a later date. We were unable yo change our plans. If you’re not there for the festival, there’s no reason to go there. There are no taxis in Bronte.

Very nice place on the edge of Bronte, which is a sprawling town.
Lovely welcome from the hosts (who do not live on-site) and their cats.
Hot croissants delivered each day at 8 a.m. Other (free) packaged breakfast items are generously provided.
We liked the nearby restaurant "Morgana" (5 minutes away by car).
The room and hotel were very clean, the manager of the hotel was amazing. Really looked after me when my flight was delayed and diverted because of the eruption, so I arrived around 4am which he stayed up to welcome me and provided me with great food and drinks. Very great customer services
Totally recommend this place to stay in Bronte. Great garden with views of Etna. Great english speaking host. You can totally rely on Vincenzo`s recommendations. The room itself was also very decent.
Amazing, helpful staff. Hotel so clean and spotless with a breath taking view of the beautiful etna right opposite of the hotel. Definitely will be returning to enjoy the spectacular scenery!
