Just 164 feet from Trajan's archway in Benevento, Hotel Traiano is an elegant, early 20th-century villa with its own gardens. The hotel's roof garden offers panoramic views.

Great stay: Warm welcome, help finding parking, easy walking distance to sites, excellent recommendations for restaurants and a great map marked with places to see. This is a tasteful well restored and decorated Italian home.

Lots of historical sites in Benevento, an often overlooked destination. The downtown center is very clean and seems brand new, due to the fact that it was heavily bombed during WWII and then rebuilt. There is an incredible Roman theater there along with a Lombard church from 700 BC, also the Arch of Trajan, one of the best preserved Roman structures in Italy. There's also a very interesting Samnite museum, Museo del Sannio. Lots to see. And good restaurants as well including Il Posto and Rosetta al Arco. Everything is closeby and easily walkable.

Apart from the Teatro Romano there is an interesting old town which is easily walkable. It is also a ggod base for exploring the area of the historic sites to the North of Napoli, such as the amphitheatre at Caserta. There are a small number of restaurants, but of good quality serving typical cuisine.

Benevento is a city and comune of Campania, Italy, capital of the province of Benevento, 50 kilometres northeast of Naples. It is situated on a hill 130 metres above sea level at the confluence of the Calore Irpino and the Sabato. In 2020, Benevento has 58,418 inhabitants. It is also the seat of a Catholic archbishop. The city is calm and quiet, offering bars and excellent restaurants, one of which I go to every time; Pampanini, probably the best one in town (in my opinion).

We loved that Benevento had lots of cool little streets and ruins to explore. It's people are very friendly towards tourists and although not much English is spoken (as in larger centres) we found it easy to get by with our limited Italian vocabulary. Lastly, Stregga, the local liquor is ONLY made in Benevento and it is lovely! You'll see it in desserts and gelato in town....yummy. If you're looking for a couple of days in a relaxing, fresh and charming village - think of Benevento.

I would only recommend it for a one night stay over.
I would only recommend it for a one night stay over. That is why we stayed there. It was incredibly hot in June and literally everything was closed and no one, I mean not one person was on the street during the day. No one came out until after 7pm. Lots of graffiti everywhere, very dirty city. Nothing much to see there.

They open their door like i was one of their sons. I spent just one night but i had one of my best booking experience in this b&b with an unbelievable panorama over Benevento. The house its very nice and super super clean. The host (Filomena and his husband) are very warm and they will do everything to make you feel as much better as possible. I came by bike to their house and eas very tired and they invited me to have dinner with them in front of a swimming pool. Was great.
Thank you for everything.

Attentive owners, gave all tips about Benevento, attractions map and good restaurants.
Great location.
Far from the train station but close to attractions and great restaurants.
Anyway, it can't be close both to the train station and the main attractions, because train stationis far.
Large room with firm mattress.
Wifi works well.
The facility was exceptional due to its cleanliness and location to main attractions. Walking distance to the Roman Theatre (a main attraction in Benevento) allowed to check out sites and be back to the suite for whatever we needed.
Everything was perfect : the location, the room and Emilio’s great care at the guests needs and desires. I have been traveling quite a lot and I have to say that Piazza Roma Rooms in Benevento is a real jewel. Thanks again Emilio !
This pretty little hotel is located in the old city centre and it's surrounded by the "movida" places. Many bar and restaurants in the area. If you enjoy night life it could one of the best pick in Benevento.
