Albergo Posta Marcucci, hotel in Bagno Vignoni

Offering a spa center and a thermal bath, Albergo Posta Marcucci is located in Bagno Vignoni in the Tuscany Region, 25 mi from Siena. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant.

The facilities were gorgeous, historic yet renovated with modern conveniences. Our room was very large with a desk that made it easy for hair styling and makeup. (Tip: Don't get a pool-view room; those are smaller. Get the larger room for less €, and go outdoors for the view.) A mini fridge fit water bottles, and staff brought more directly to the room as needed. Robes and shoes were provided for both the room and for spa use. Our room doors and walls provided incredible sound-proof privacy. The free breakfast was abundant with pastries, yogurts, fruits, cheeses, and more. The thermal spas, saunas, and series of spa rooms along with "summer water" flavored with herbs and lemons provided the ultimate pampering experience. I loved relaxing in the sun on the cushioned recliners with the surreal panoramic view of vineyards, olive trees, and castles in the distance. The property was calm, quiet, and very peaceful, with morning doves wooing throughout the day. There were maybe 10-12 other couples at the outdoor spa while we were there; yet I think we all felt like we had the place to ourselves. I overheard staff speaking fluent Italian, English, Dutch, and French -- the diversity was heavenly! Views in every direction were stunning. Val d'Orcia was a few minutes drive away with iconic scenes from paintings and movies like Gladiator and Under the Tuscan Sun. For my spouse and I, this area is the most beautiful place on earth! Numerous restaurants were in walking distance in a loop for the tiny town of Bagno Vignoni. Nearby Pienza has an abundance of more dining options and views as well.

Bagno Vignoni is a small, beautiful town.

Bagno Vignoni is a small, beautiful town. The first time we experience the thermal pool instead the Market Square. Around there are small restaurants with typica Tuscany dishes and typical Italian service kindness. Nearby there are thermal lakes and a lot of wineries with a good San Giovese vine.

It’s a beautiful, small village built around the central pool (which you can’t bathe in). There are several restaurants, a sprinkling of shops and out accommodation which has nan made pools (hit and cold with spa hets, a beautiful garden with lounges and a sauna room with pool and relaxing area / the restaurant here was great. Not sure what other accommodation was like.

This town is sweet, quaint, historical and picturesque.

This town is sweet, quaint, historical and picturesque. It is located in a breathtakingly beautiful part of Tuscany and has incredible views of the countryside from different parts of the town. The historical/archaeological site of the old mills that operated here using the thermal waters is a must see and is well marked with signs in Italian and English. It is also worth hiking down the paths to where the thermal waters run down to pools and then the valley. It is an incredible site and totally free to access. You are surrounded by nature here and I couldn’t believe how many birds I saw and heard in the middle of February. I did a little hiking and also found evidence of more wildlife around. It seems like a healthy ecosystem and it felt wonderful to be surrounded by that energy. The town layout is perfectly symmetrical with beautiful stone buildings surrounding a large rectangular thermal pool. It was lovely to stroll around the town at any time of day. I really enjoyed all of the playful cats that hung out in the town. They were sweet and cute and fun to watch. Unfortunately, most of the stores were closed for the season and the town was quite sleepy since there didn’t seem to be a lot of people around. This quiet was welcome after noisy Florence but it would have been great if some stores were open.

we did a tour in Tuscany and stayed in about 5 hotels. This hotel was the very best of all we stayed in. The situation is quiet but near the lovely little village of Bagno Vignoli. The pool, the garden, the restaurant , the reception : all is beautifull and clean, but what we MOST loved was the absolutly nice staff. At the reception, restaurant, the maids, everybody is just the most good-mooded, nicest people. we still talk about our stay in Relais Osteria and only have good memories.
