Very small city, but it has own lift and it is possible to reach Sella Ronda circle right from it, so you wouldn't need a car if you stay there.
In case you have a car in 10-20 minutes you can rich Corvara (direct lift to Sella Ronda) or Kronplatz.

Such a beautiful place and ideally placed to access the Dolomites and all it has to offer, we just needed more time there. Despite it being out of season, there were good restaurants with delicious food and great wine, very reasonably priced too. We are at the San Leonardo pizzeria just up the road from the apartment and the food was so good. The local Badia pub also serves great pizza and is a hive of activity, even at this time of year with locals and tourists alike. Villages and tourists spots are easily accessible by car, only 5 to 10 mins apart each. There is however limited translation of signs and information in English so some preparation in advance is advised (or Google translate!)
This is the best hotel we've been to in the Dolomites region. Very clean rooms that are carefully cleaned every day. The staff and owners of the hotel are very welcoming and friendly. The hotel has a very homely and cozy atmosphere. On the birthday of my friend for breakfast, they brought us a huge cake, which we tried with the whole hotel)) I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who reads my review.
The spectacular, IMAX-style view on the nearby dolomite range, especially from the beautiful central space and restaurant. The immaculately clean room with modern, comfortable and attractive interior. The small scale of the hotel and the friendly, personal service by each of the staff members and the owner. The convenient location, outside the busy towns but close to all of Badia's cable cars.
The hotel, its owner and staff are just excellent! We liked the personal approach, the spacious and comfortable room, we loved breakfasts and especially dinners! The location couldn't be better for skiers and nature lovers. Everything was fantastic, thanks a lot!
Out of our month long road trip through France, Switzerland, Italy and Sicily this hotel was the highlight. And one of the best we have ever stayed in.
Impeccable design, perfect location. THAT POOL! And the staff were all exceptional and super friendly.
Very friendly owners, clean apartment with a nice view. From the apartment it's relatively close to all the tourist attractions and mountains that we wanted to visit. I highly recommend this apartment if you are ever visiting Alta Badia.
