NOTHING do not stay here!!!!
This home is currently under construction. It does not look like the pictures. We were unable to use the beach as there was a huge excavator moving rock. It was shaking the house. It was unbearable. The home was full of plaster dust. It was so dirty. We called booking.com and cancelled and left the home with our three children and drove till we found a place to stay.

A calm, not fussy and clean city, which can be reached from Rome by train in one hour and paying 3.60 €. The air is filled with the aroma of flowers and plants. Well-maintained and comfortable beaches. There are stations with boats and yachts. Delicious cuisine with seafood.

It´s a small town, within walking distance, and everything you need is around the corner.
We found the best hotel and also a bar/restaurant where we had drinks and dinner down on the beach directly on the sand.

Anzio is a quiet beach place with nice restaurants, a port , nice little shops and the historical ruins of Nero's palace at the sea. 50km from Rome it is the right place to stay if you would like to combine Rime visits and in between some beach breaks.

Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town.
Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town. Decent beaches, both free and paid.
A good starting point for hydrofoil travel to Ponza Island. From here there are hydrofoils that will take you there in an hour and a half. Other places only use regular cruise ships, but they offer a four-hour journey.
There are many good restaurants with local fresh fish and seafood as well as local wines.
A place worth staying for shorter and longer periods.

Pleasant surprise!
Pleasant surprise! We learnt that the beaches around Anzio are popular among people from the Rome region, so there are mostly local people. Long, very nice beach with clean water, shallow sea and fine sand.
Amazing location right at the heart of Anzio. Both sides of the building have an amazing water view. One side overlooks the beach with a view over a beautiful single-story beach restaurant (il Ristorante Alceste), while the other overlooks the port where Laziomar ferry to Ponza docks. I loved sitting out on the balcony and watching the waves and city life of Anzio.
We experienced exceptional service provided by the staff.
We found ourselves serendipitiously stranded in Anzio between arriving by air to Rome and the ferry to Ponza the next morning. Decided to try this BnB and were impressively surprised. It could not have been a better stop. Beautiful rooms and a welcomming swimming pool in a lush and well-groomed garden. Very friendly and hospitable hostess, who drove us and all our luggage to the ferry in the morning.
Le Ninfe is in a beautiful neighborhood of Anzio, very near the sea, and Serena is a wonderfully accommodating host. I highly recommend this little jewel of a bed & breakfast.
