Amalfi was probably one of the most chaotic places i have been there is no organization to get buses or ferrys it’s literally a free for all and god forbid if the weather is bad they just cancel everything if you want to go to another town the traffic is crazy it takes way longer than it should because the traffic goes no where
It’s a beautiful place like the other towns but not worth all the chaos when your on vacation

Very easy to get around.
Very easy to get around. Much quieter & smaller than Positano. Ferries to Capri, Positano & Sorrento all depart from Amalfi. Ravello is just 3k away and is a must to visit! Highly recommend.

Visisted the Amafli coast already second time! I consider the Amalfi coast the most beautiful area of Italy. The places like Positano, Ravello, Capri all the Villas stay in your memory forever and you want to return there, which I will for sure.

Property is located some distance from main coastal highway on the main street of Amalfi. This street has limited vehicle access during the day so you need to time your arrival and departure times if you have a car. Parking is located within 100 yards of hotel and they know they have you, expensive.
The property access is up a stone staircase on the hillside, no elevator so luggage must be carried to reception area.
Never again.

I would recommend 3 nights if you want to see other areas like Positiano or Capri. Use ferry to get around because it can be difficult driving to those cities because the roads are very small and tight.

Amalfi is a great place on the Amalfi Coast of Italy, while Positano may be the most romantic seaside village, Ravello is also great and quite different being high up the coastal cliffs while still having stunning views. Ferries are absolutely the best way to get around so you don't have to worry about parking or traffic. There are so many great restaurants sprinkled along the thin winding streets that open to amazing small courtyards. I've heard the crowds can be challenging in the summer. For us, June was great, very nice weather, calm sea and perhaps not as crowded. The whole experience is unforgettable!
Very good value for price. Stephan was very nice and helpful, contacted us in advance and advised us of the best way to get to Amalfi.
The hotel is nicely decorated, room was clean and cozy. Location was right in the middle of things, not quiet, but easy to get to port, bus station and shops. Would definitely recommend this for a stay in Amalfi and as a starting point for Amalfi coast attractions.
An unrelated note: the staircase to the hotel is next to a bakery, so every time you walk there you get a whiff of chocolate and lemon cake :-)
The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Everythıng is very new and clean. The bus stop ıs only 2 mınutes walking distance from the hotel so if you are coming with a traın from Sorrento or Salerno, you can just take the bus and basically arrive at the hotel. The hotel personnel, Ms. Reneta was very attentive and helpful. She made our stay at Amalfi coast easier. I will defintely recommend the hotel to my friends.
This was by far our favourite place we stayed on our trip along the amalfi coast ! As mentioned there are quite a few steps to the apartment however it was absolutely worth it and couldn’t recommend it enough . The walk into the centre itself was less than 10mins.The staff were incredible and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The breakfast was a lovely touch and there are plenty of options.
The room is big and the bathroom is the biggest i've ever seen. Lisa was amazing, extremely kind. The breakfast is italian and you can choose to eat at the balcony, with the amazing view of the Amalfi Coast. The bus stop is in front of the hotel which made a big difference because you have to use public transportation or you might be run over by cars and buses. I had a really great time at Villa Viviani!
The staff was very prepared. The hotel has a list of activities for each day of the week, to do around the Amalfi coast. We enjoyed very much the Amalfi City Tour with the guide Michelangelo. We discovered a new and more meaningful dimension of the entire Amalfi Coast. Hotel is easy to reach from Amalfi City Center, either by foot or local buss.
