We had an excellent stay at La case in campagna.
Carmela, the host, is extremely kind and helpful. She got out of her way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. While the page says Italian is the only spoken language, this should not discourage foreigners (like us) as we managed to communicate perfectly fine with Google Translate. The host is artists and we really loved her gift of a painted stone that she painted herself.
The place is beautiful and peaceful, but it's a walkable distance to the village, which has a supermarket and great restaurants. The house is well-equipped and the furniture inside is beautifully painted. Ideally you need a car to come here as there is no public transport at the moment, however there a few local taxi services. Probably the most sensible way to get here is take a train to Agropoli and then rent a car locally (vs. rent a car from somewhere afar like Naples). While very much rural, you could just stay in the local area and you would be more than fine regarding food and sights to see (e.g. Rocca Cilento), however the beaches in nearby villages are too nice to miss. Local wine is excellent. There is a cute cat on-site and a donkey-wild boar duo lives just nearby. Our kid loved the animals and the toys (e.g. slide) around.
Featuring a garden, Cilento is a 5-minute drive from the centre of San Mauro Cilento. Free Wi-Fi and free private parking are available, and a sandy beach is 7 km away.

A great place to enjoy Cilento beauty. A cozy and perfectly cleaned apartment with a great terrace within olive trees and figue trees with a nice view on the sea. The quietness is great and there are good solutions for eating good local food nearby. Beaches are just ten minutes driving.
Excellent location for guests whose main purpose is to have a beach holiday and want be within distance of Acciaroli harbour and town centre.
Also, secure parking through a barrier is a rarity and a bonus.
An outside communal shower is a great facility to have for beach users.
Air conditioning was good.
Ideal for longer term guests who are there for the beach and use the kitchen to prepare their own breakfast.
Location of the hotel was good for restaurants, bars. Good car park over the road, which was free. Good views from restaurant overlooking the sea and from the balcony as on the sea front.
