The location was amazing, the sauna and yoga room are beautiful. The staff was so so helpful. They offer a Northern Lights wake up call, and I got to see them thanks to the staff for letting me know they were there! I also forgot an adapter and they had some for use with no charge. Nice location, “free” breakfast because of my booking genius status. If it wasn’t free I definitely wouldn’t pay 2500isk for it!!! But I’m vegetarian so!
Small room, but nice for one night. Wouldn’t stay more than that. Bathrooms were clean, except no soap in women’s room. Luckily our room had a sink/soap/mirror so I could wash my hands there

Breakfast was well done, staff at breakfast was really attentive. The location was lovely, very peaceful and beautiful, though far from anywhere to eat dinner. I liked they left out treats and hot drinks for us to help ourselves to in the evenings.

Skogafoss is nice, but loses some of its charm due to overcrowding of tourists. I suggest a walk on the path that starts from the top of the stairway (appropriate footwear is required). In the first 3-5 kilometers there are wonderful and wild landscapes and falls

Skogafoss is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world, impressively large, and if there is even a little bit of sunshine, there will be a rain bow in front of the falls. The town of Skogar includes a noteworthy folk history museum.

Great place to stop at while driving to Vik!
Great place to stop at while driving to Vik! There are many things to see and do and endless hiking paths to follow. A few waterfalls around including Kvernufoss, which was amazingly hidden, but very near the Skogar Museum. The museum offers a variety of exhibits on history of the area ( outside part including turf houses), but also technical part - really amazing and great thing to do when the weather is not promising. We stayed at hotel Skogafoss and we had a real blast there! Highly recommended due to facilities and service alike. There is a Eyjafjallajökull visitor centre, right below the volcano- unfortunately closed during winter season. We drove and walked to Seljavallalaug hot spring natural pool, where you can swim, however water is quite cold. The surroundings is beautiful though. Further south you can drive towards Dyrhólaey and Reynisfjara/Black beach. We loved Skogar area very much and had amazing time at different spots around.

I recommend to go all the way up the stairs and walk around the trail and enjoy the marvelous view.

This hotel is at the foot of a stunning hill next to the Drangshlid rock. The pictures don't do it justice—it's so much more beautiful in person. It's right off the highway and only a minute's drive from the amazing Skógafoss. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Breakfast was beyond expectations, and you get to access the dining hall all day with a stunning view for coffee and tea. I couldn't be happier with my stay!
This hostel for children in an outdoor school is located about 1 km from the Skógarfoss waterfall. The staff was very kind and helpful. He brought us a replacement heater after midnight, as the radiator was not working. There was a rich and tasty breakfast.

Very nicely designed small hotel with an excellent restaurant. Nice short walks nearby. A bit pricey but I'd say that's what you pay for a great small hotel with good rooms and a nice restaurant around here.
