This home was perfect for our family. We had a spectacular viewing of the northern lights right from the deck. The host is responsive and easy to communicate with. I may have missed in listing, but in case it's not mentioned, inside cottage was a note about laundry services and an EV charging station for car. Would have loved to base here a few days had we had the time.

it was a rustic little spot on private property. Although the units are small, they are comfortable. There is a seperate unit for showering and a seperate kitchen that you have to walk to, but it is on the property. We saw the most magnificant northen lgihts right outside our door.

Eventually we only had a short walk in Selfoss and had two dinners as we were driving through and staying one night on our way back. Should we have had more time, I wish to have visited at the thermal river just 20min drive from Selfoss city center.

The room contained a great handbook with history of the guesthouse, multiple routes to take to see various routes, etc. The host was very helpful with our itinerary and recommended a website that provided up to date information on road closures. Enjoyed watching the nearby sheep and baby lambs and Icelandic horses. Great breakfast. Wonderful hosts.

Selfoss is my favorite town in Iceland.
Selfoss is my favorite town in Iceland. Not too big, not too small for a visit. A place to get your provisions in a little city. Has all the stores you need for a trip. Friendly people. I had some nice long chats with workers in this town: a bakery, the tourist center, a 2nd-hand store. Nice atmosphere. A gateway to the south and to the Golden Circle, or a welcome back when you return. My favorite store in Iceland is here.

We didn't actually get chance to see much of Selfoss itself as we were using the apartment as a Base for other excursions, great for south coast & golden circle as long as you're comfortable driving a hire car.
We are looking forward to visiting again in the future & seeing even more!

The Town has grown since I visited 7 years ago. The town pool is a great spot to go and relax. There is a fabulous food court across the street from the Hotel Selfoss -- great spot for drinks and dinner. You can still get a good hot dog in the parking lot of the Hotel Selfoss. The town is well located to visit waterfalls, geysers, and thermal pools. I would return.

Comfortable cabin and warm the whole night. To check in, we met with the host who welcomed us with Nero and Pluto the very friendly doggies :) Didn’t get to use the hot tub, the shower or kitchen, as we only stayed one night.Not far from Selfoss with lots of restaurants, although there is a fridge, kettle and crockery in the cabin if you don’t fancy the kitchen! Would recommend this peaceful place.
The room was tidy, comfortable, and very spacious. It is located in the heart of the Selfoss town. There is a food hall in a 5 min walking distance from the hotel. As we stayed there for a night and left very early in the morning, we didn't get a chance to try the breakfast in the restaurant from the hotel.
Second time staying here. Excellent apartment with lots of space, great views and comfortable. Being in the middle of Selfoss is a perfect location. You are right next door to a very good bakery, the is a supermarket across the street and there are a numerous excellent restaurants very close by.
The room was very clean and comfortable with modern facilities. Free parking. Friendly staff.
