Host is extremely accommodating letting us in off hours. (Hours listed outside their checkin range) and provided keys for us.
There were supposed to be horseback riding and other hiking/outdoor activities, the pouring rain in two days kind of ruined that. We didn't get a chance to do any of that.

Great Value- Very clean, modern-style rooms. Sauna was an awesome perk, especially after a day of riding. Also includes a good breakfast! Great location to explore the north and ride Icelandic horses.

Great place for a different nights stay. Lovely old house with so much character. The horses in the morning as they paraded up the driveway was a gift to see.

This was our favourite accommodation of ten in total on our Iceland adventure! It was utterly charming in every way! Our room was in the attic, the building beside the main, and completely comfy and quiet. We learned that this hotel is where people stayed while they waited for their ship to take them to Canada and America to their new life - very moving. Breakfast was delicious with the standard cold offerings like breads, cheese, ham, eggs, jams, cream cheeses, pastries, etc - but it was dinner that really impressed! They have a tiny seasonal menu - like one fish dish, one vegetarian, and one lamb - but the lamb was the most tender and delicious I have ever tasted! I will recommend this place to everyone! (And also recommend the Emmigration Centre at nearby Hofsos to any people of Icelandic descent who are tracing their roots!)

We were surprised to find out that the studio looks different from the pictures. The host told us that they just finished to renovate the place and the result is stunning. A very large room with comfortable bad, nicely equipped kitchen, a dining table and a sitting spot next to the window with a view comming out of a journal.
The nice owners were very welcoming and insisted meeting us personally upon our arrival, something really seen in today's self check in systems.

Good location to visit Glaumbaer just a few kilometres away and a beautiful local church with a turf house in the village. Well placed to visit both peninsulas on either side and easy access to the main ring road.
