Nice and cozy property to fit 4 adults. It was nice to have a kitchenette to make our own dinner. Hot tub was a nice touch as well.

We loved everything! The glass bubble and the hot tub outside are fantastic additions to this lovely cottage. Our host was very helpful and patience, response quick. We had the most amazing and memorable 3 nights here!

Reykholt is a nice little village on the golden circle.
Reykholt is a nice little village on the golden circle. It has a little grocery shop in the petrol station with hot dogs and ice cream. There are also the Mika and Friðheimar restaurants, both worth a visit. The outdoor swimming pool, playgrounds and sport facilities are fantastic for the kids. Take a short walk up to the top of the hill for some amazing views.

This is one of our favourite areas to book for weekends away from Reykjavík. We enjoy the local hikes, waterfalls (and also Restaurant Mika!). With Secret Lagoon nearby as well as the Golden Circle being within a short drive, there is plenty to do. This visit we also checked out the Hrunalaug hot springs which were fab!

The Restaurant Mika was a welcoming place, since we were traveling the Golden circle late and were worried we wouldn't have anything to eat before arriving at the amazing Blue Hotel Fagrilundur. We thought the restaurant would close at 9pm on the Monday night, but we saw they kept letting travellers in well past 9pm. And the food was wonderful! And they accommodated my partner's gluten and sugar intolerance so nicely, by even cooking the potatoes on a separate pan from the others.
We would come back to Reykholt and Restaurant Mika and the Blue Hotel again and stay longer!

The staff is extremely friendly and you know you can ask them about everything and they take their time to answer your requests. The room were comfortable and quiet. Best sleep I‘ve had in a while. The hot tubs are the perfect ending to a perfect day. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again the next time we visit Iceland. We stayed for 5 nights and there were so many things to do around the hotel that we still couldn’t see everything we wanted.
This was exactly what we needed. Loved that the hot tub was already warm for us. Communication from staff was great when needed. We read the listing so knew exactly what was included and could prepare well for tea etc. It was in a great location and we even saw the northern lights. A lovely change from hotels. So peaceful, we could recharge our batteries after long days of driving loads.
Very cozy small cabine, located nearby Iceland's Golden Circle (some spots are only 20 minutes away). There is a small kitchen in the cabine you can use and a fridge for your groceries.
The contact with the owner is very good, they are friendly and give you some informations about the nicest spots around.
This stay marked our two first days in Iceland. Therefore, it was great to find it in such good shape. A good base for exploring popular spots nearby, such as Thingvellir, Geysir, and Gullfoss.
