The room was comfortable and clean, modern and had a lovely view of the lake. The staff was kind and accommodating, and we enjoyed our mornings in the restaurant enjoying the provided tea and coffee. It was such a nice place to relax as we neared the end of our stay in Iceland.

The property was surrounded by nature and very serene. It was raining a bit one morning, and sitting inside looking out the windows was very comforting and relaxing.

It was perfection. The initial view as you approach the property was breathtaking, Check in was wonderful and we were walked to our room and shown the amenities (first time that happened in the 2 weeks we had been in Iceland. Accommodations were lovely. The experimental kitchen meals were creative, delicious, and visually stunning.

Laugarvatn is in an excellent location between the national park to the west, and Geysir and Gulfoss Waterfall to the east. It has a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding hills, a few restaurants, gas, and plenty of lodging.

I loved this place.
I loved this place. It was perfect location for different places to visit such as Geyster, Pingvilllar (National Park), etc. The accommodation was cosy and lovely. The owners were friendly, helpful and thoughtful; always informed me and my friends about the weather and issues with the hire car. We loved the scenery of the lake especially visiting the hot geothermal bath nearly every night. the last night before we returned to the city, we saw Northern Lights! that was the highlight of the short break. We would go back and stay there again. Loved it.
Really large, clean apartment only a stones throw from the lake edge, Fontana thermal pools and a very cute little restaurant called Lindin Cottage. We literally walked to an early, delicious meal, then walked across the road to sit in 40 degree thermal pools, then walked home. Location couldn't be better! The apartment has plenty of kitchen utensils and space to self cater.
The building is slightly elevated over the lake, and you can see all of the surroundings from there.
Unlike all the samish looking new hotels, this place actually has character, and prides itself on its history as and old school. It retains the old country charm that makes Iceland so magical.
One of the best hotels of our trip. Beautiful and cosy room. The staffs were friendly. The dinner was nice and beautifully located with a view. Close to great attractions. Would love to stay a few nights more if we had more time.
Excellent location on the golden circle loop within a short distance to major attractions. Their hotelroom shower qualifies definitely as one of the best in Iceland.
