Our second time back at Centerhotel Laugavegur. Excellent and clean rooms, kind and receptive staff, we even got an upgrade. The breakfast is a nice touch. Location is excellent just besides the bus stop.

Hotel is well located in nice part of Reykjavik, the staff are very friendly and helpful with local tips and ideas for site seeing and places to visit/eat. The on site restaurant, Brass, is very nice, great food and fantastic service.
Downtown Reykjavik is full of life, joy and culture, so it can be noisy at night. We recommend enjoying the live music at the bar downstairs, which will stop at 11 in the night.

Great location right in the middle of the city with an easy walk to everything. The room itself was well equipped and this is probably the cleanest hotel we stayed in across Iceland.

Great breakfast spread for Reykjavik hotel standards. Variety of cold and hot food options. Loved the waffle station. But it was pretty much the same thing every day. The location is quite at the other end of the central area where all the attractions and sights are, which was good in a sense that it was quiet, and there were no noisy bars around. There's a supermarket conveniently located just less than 2 minutes walk from the hotel on the same street, which opens longer hours than Bonus, although, pricing might be slightly more expensive. Although further on the fringe of the main city attractions, they are still within very walkable distances. The tour pick up (Bus stop 14 Snorrabraut) is conveniently just 3 minutes walk from the hotel, just round the corner. It's also one of the pick up and drop off points for the Flybus, which was nice since I didn't have to drag my luggage too far.
Newly renovated during the spring of 2023, Hotel Local 101 is an independent hotel quietly tucked away in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, on a charming street made up of classical Icelandic homes.

Breakfast standard tourist hotel fare bacon and meats were cold ! Orange machines empty , vastly over priced for quality offered which was distinctly average , bedroom furniture signs of tiredness safe didn’t work , fittings tired ! Clean room , location is ok close to local facilities , this is a tourist hotel major holiday groups so it’s often overrun and I mean overrun ! Used hotel as others booked !
