Everything was wonderful, the outdoor hot tubs, sauna and plunge pool were amazing. The breakfast buffet was incredible and had everything. The rooms were incredibly well designed and very cozy. Best place we stayed in Iceland!!

Great location close to Glacier Lagoon. Nice big room with small kitchen that had everything we needed as far as pots and utensils. No places to eat nearby so you need to plan ahead and get groceries. The description mentioned that so no surprises there. You are on a working farm but you are far enough away that you don't notice, but close enough you can visit with the dogs, horses and sheep if you want to (and you should). We were there in mid June when it was 50 F plus or minus a couple degrees. The heat was on in the room with no obvious way to turn it off/down, so we had to open the window to sleep. Not a big deal at all. It was very quiet all night and comfortable.

The guesthouse gave a accurate description of the area so we knew what services were there and not there and could plan ahead. We loved walking around and the sights and hikes that were nearby. It was so easy to get to the Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach, and we could go back to see them at night too. The hosts had many recommendations for what to do and it definitely enhanced our trip!

Absolutely loved the variety of fresh, farm to table offerings, and homemade breads at breakfast. Dinner menu was extensive, meals were delicious. Enjoyed seeing the sea birds, and sheep in the pasture. Views of mountain and bay/ ocean were great. Very close to Glacier Bay and Diamond Beach. Peaceful. Staff were friendly. Highly recommend and will return when I come back to Iceland.

we had an early assembly for ice cave/glacier walk so the location was perfect (<15min drive). Nearby area to visit are Diamond Beach & Iceberg Lagoon but we missed that due to bad weather condition.

We chose it because of the proximity to the glacier lagoon and diamond beach. What we didn’t know was that it was the perfect place for a super comfortable first night after flying and a long drive. The owners contacted us in the morning to ask if we’d like dinner, which we gratefully agreed to, as we’d not been to this area before and knew we would be tired after a long travel day. The dinner was delicious with great choices, and was beautifully spread red and served. The surrounding property was stunning - farmlands and majestic cliffs filled with seabirds. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and new modern amenities. I will definitely return

Some great features in this part of Iceland, Diamond Beach...
Some great features in this part of Iceland, Diamond Beach was just incredible and like nothing else I have ever seen, just wish I had had the time to stay and take photos all day and night. The LAgoon upstream was also incredible, worth visiting after high tide and again as the time is coming in, the Icebergs move in a different way at both stages of the tides and it is worth seeing both.
The hotel is on a farm, the reception and the restaurant are by the gates and then The rooms are in two buildings. There is also a museum attached to the restaurant (free of charge). The staff were very good, the rooms were new, well maintained and spacious. Every building has a coffee machine where you can get coffee and tea 24 hours a day for free.
We had dinner twice the food was very good and locally sourced. Also the breakfast buffet was good and had lots of options. The glacier is a 15 min drive.
It was a great cost benefit! The bedroom and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is very polite and attentive. The prices in the restaurant are good. The landscape around is beautiful. I would come back for sure. Near the hotel there is a place you can book tickets for the ice cave and it 6 minuts by car fron diamond beach. For sure I would come Back.
It was better than we expected. Pleasant owner, big eating area, very clean, great coffe, juice, milk, even traditional cake for free for all guests! You could find some food for breakfast for very small tips. Definitely recommended-we felt like in a cozy small hotel. They even had meniu from local restaurants nearby
Clean & spacious rooms, great breakfast, amazing location. The staff were friendly & helpful. It's one of the closest hotels to the glacier lagoon. We were easily able to go back to the glacier lagoon again the next day. Very convenient!
