We are use to very large rooms with kitchens in our hotel room. While we vacationed in Iceland we stayed at VRBO’s but we saw this unique hotel and had to stay here and experience it! Loved walking around the hotel and the use of hot tub and sauna !!!

    Lovely little fishing village.

Lovely little fishing village. There is a couple supermarkets and some restaurants. There is a main bus stop 2 mins from the Viking Hotel which was so handy and the stop for the Flybus coach to the airport (approx £23 pp one way) was opposite the hotel which was super handy and you get a beautiful view of the harbour whilst you wait. We got off 2 stops early from Reykjavík one day and walked back to explore and there were some lovely sights on the way. It’s a really nice place that’s neat and tidy. Probably wouldn’t need more than half a day wandering round but it’s nice to see the town.

Great hotel. Was given a room upgrade.

Great hotel. Was given a room upgrade. The person at the reception desk was very helpful and recommended a great restaurant, A. Hansen, for dinner. Loved the shower head, felt like a personal waterfall. The room didn't have USB ports but fortunately I had a european plug adapter with me. The wifi was excellent.

    Such a cute town!

Such a cute town! Small enough to feel cozy but also large enough to actually have restaurants and groceries! The whole town is very clean-like not a piece of trash anywhere. It’s so lovely & nice that it almost feels like it’s a movie set. we stayed on the water so the views were spectacular. It’s a short drive to Reykjavik so if you want to bustle of a city, you can have it in a few minutes. Its also a short drive to the blue lagoon so you can relax all day in the lagoon then make it back easily to Hafnarfjorour. Every person we met spoke English very well in the town so there were no communications issues. Pallet coffee shop is a lovely coffee shop with the friendliest staff and delicious bottomless coffee. Our first morning in town, we spent a couple hours just sipping coffee and talking with locals. Hotel Viking is cute. The rooms are nice and the staff friendly. We rented a car which made our stay very easy and everything in town was convenient.

    What an awesome place!

What an awesome place! It was very conveniently located but in a nice and quiet residential area. The place was really clean and felt new; and it had everything you might need for a longer stay or a shorter one.

Hafnarfjordur was a good central location for getting to/...

Hafnarfjordur was a good central location for getting to/from the airport, Reykjavik town and the Blue Lagoon. There were a few nice restaurants nearby which reception told us about, Von Mathus and Krydd and we got takeaway from Dominoes which was also up the road from our hotel. We loved being near the 'World Class Gym' and got temporary membership.

Hraun is a nice budget hotel close to the airport and to Reikiavik downtown. An excellent place to start your journey without entering Reikiavik. The hotel is modern, clean and buffet breakfast is included. Price is also very reasonable considering you are in Iceland. Staff is very polite and reception is open all night. Very convenient when you have a late flight,

Thelma and her family are quite lovely.. the communication is easy and uncomplicated. The apartment is very close to Reykjavik Downtown and near to many places like the Nationalpark, volcanoes and geothermal areas. We didn’t miss anything and had a great time in Iceland. I have stayed at the Viking hotel several times and I like it‘s convenient location after arriving or departing from Keflavík airport by Flybus. The staff is very nice, especially Berglind. This time I had to change my booking and everybody was very flexible. The town is worth visiting as well.

Apartment was really spacious. Kitchen had everything we needed. The washer and dryer was definitely a bonus! Me and my friends had a few movie nights and we really enjoyed the living room area especially the huge tv. Would definitely come here again if I were to visit Iceland.
