The Holt Inn was a perfect, charming guesthouse. We absolutely loved it! It was conveniently set off the highway in a bucolic farm area surrounded by mountains and fields of flowers. The rooms were so comfortable, there was plently of privacy, and fresh air. The breakfast was delicious, and the patron was very kind about making sure we did not have any allergies that needed substitutes. It was very close to many activities and restaurants, but in an oasis of an area. I wish we had another night there!

The house itself is so charming and well kept-- not to mentioned how incredible the shop downstairs is. The town is remote but not a far drive from the busier Ísafjörður. Still, you cannot beat the views here. The staff was so incredibly welcoming -- and touches like the chocolate in the room, the well-stocked kitchen, the comfortable common areas, made for such a nice stay.

Loved the fact that we were able to see the Northern Lights from our room. The hostess was incredibly accommodating and went out of her way to reassure us when we expected to arrive fairly late in the evening.

Our group was family reunion of 9ppl and we were quite noisy until 1:30 am.
We knew we have whole house for us and there is no another guest but there was staff living there and no one complained or tell us we should be quiet or go sleep so we really enjoyed time there.
Beds were comfortable and kitchen very good equipped.
Beautiful view as well.

The building was very clean and bright. It was easy to park around the property. The shared kitchen and lunge room was well equipped for everything we needed. The unit we lived in was very clean.

Breakfast was held at a sister property requiring us to walk a block. The food was excellent. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was excellent.
The guest house is brand new. There is very little maintenance and no hospitality to speak of. It is as though you are offered a room (clean, good sized) and a kitchen (well stocked), but once you are there, you are on your own. Very little cleaning done in the shared spaces, none at all in the room. No wifi available in the room. Too bad. The guest house really needs some TLC.

An incredibly charming area - the town and the mountain...
An incredibly charming area - the town and the mountain valley it’s tucked in are so stunning. We loved eating at Vagninn, which was surprisingly lively given the surroundings. Be sure to visit Kaffi Sol and the nearby Önundarfjörður Pier.
