Lola brought us (in the snow) some lovely porridge and muffins in the morning. Just what we needed to start our day.
Property is very warm and super cute in the snow, if I get the chance to return to an Iceland this property would be on my list to return.

We went to Dalvík so we could ride horses at the Tvistur horse farm. Then we went north to the Herring Era Museum. I would highly recommend both. It was nice traveling in the north of Iceland because there were so few tourist. The snow capped mountains in the area were hugged by mist making for some very pretty photos.

A perfect warm host who welcomed me with affection,provided me advice about ferry ride to grimsey,and shared helpful information about the area.facility was clean,quiet, calm and very organized.toiletries were very good quality,and room spacious.anticipating that I come from a warm climate,the host heated the room a bit more than usual..will definitely stay here again

Lorenzo was an absolute champion. Great property great host and oh boy, what a views all around. One of most magical places in Iceland. Didn't really used big bathtub but I was lucky enough to use sauna and it was great. Would really recommend beer spa 5 min drive from Lorenzos house, it was fantastic. Overall one of top places in Iceland.
We liked the sauna right after the outdoor hot bath. The cottage is really charming. The setting and the region are splendid.
We didn't use the kitchen because there was an excellent restaurant in Dalvík (á Gregor's) and we had lunch the next day in Akureyri (only 30 minutes from the accommodation).
the best value for money during out 2 weeks in Iceland, new, comfy, well equipped, beautiful house near harbour, all facilities, large and very cheap compared to other places we stayed in
