Akureyri - Berjaya Iceland Hotels, hotel in Akureyri

Located in Akureyri, this hotel offers fresh rooms with a TV and seating area. Facilities include a restaurant and a lounge bar. Hlídarfjall Ski Resort is 5 km away.

Hotel is right by the city centre, a short walk uphill from the main high street with free onsite parking. Breakfast is good value, l ots of choices, both savoury and sweet, I would have liked to see more vegetarian options though. Hotel has an onsite restaurant and bar with happy hour.

It was very interesting to visit "Iceland's Capital of the North" after having spent ten days in Reykjavik earlier this year. Akureyri is a lot quieter than Iceland's capital and is perfect to visit during the Autumn or Winter with the "magical" snowy scenery and with an excellent chance of seeing the Northern Lights, but a visit there in the Summer is also highly recommended to visit the amazing Botanical Gardens and lush green grass, flowers and trees.

We did not realize Akureyri is so beautiful until we reached there. So beautiful in and around Akureyri. We should have spent more days there than Reykjavik. It is very beautiful by nature. The one thing which I didn’t like about is parking which costs money and officers were roaming around to charge you. Max parking was there for 2 hours in the city unless you install app and recharge every now and then. I couldn’t not find an option to charge more than 2 hours in the meter. I don’t want to install app on my phone for just parking in other countries. I would recommend the officials to remove the parades for tourists or should provide more options to parking to stay longer in the downtown. We were rushing to the parking lot not get tickets or fine. You have plenty of lands not to charge on parking instead you can charge on other things . Forest Lagoon is another pool you can enjoy the hot water

Nice place to stay while visiting sites in North Iceland.

Nice place to stay while visiting sites in North Iceland. We were able to see the Northern lights while there in early October, but our lodging was slightly out of the main city lights. Nice restaurants and easy to walk around. Botanical garden was a very nice place.

Great place for a day trip, or two.

Great place for a day trip, or two. Limited eating options (compared to Reykjavik). The lagoons (Forest lagoon / Myvatn) are worth a visit. There are of course also some nearby waterfalls. There's a fantastic petting zoo which is definitely not to be missed.

It is a very nice hotel, near to the airport. Reception staff was very kind and helpful. Room was large, clean. Bathroom also clean. Wi-Fi worked well. The outdoor hot tubs were great. you can reach them with the basement corridor, where there are dressing rooms and from which you go out to the garden. plenty of parking space for the car. Good breakfast.

Hotel Akureyri is a unique boutique hotel with quirky features such as a record player and vinyl in the room. Each room is named after a movie quote (ours was "ET phone home") with no need for keys because you have a code to get in. Check out simply consists pressing a checkout button. An excellent breakfast buffet was included.

Akureyri hotel is probably one of the best hotel I've been, for its unique peculiarities, its design and its coziness. The staff was so nice and the breakfast was awesome. Everything was curated in any possible detail. Akureyri itself is a cute little town. Thank you so much, we will come back!

There's Netflix. Location very strategic as it's in the city centre. Great options for food as there are many restaurants around. Great cafe just across the hotel for breakfast. Description of getting and finding a parking space is very helpful
