Since, I was travelling alone, I found some of the staff's behavior a bit sexist at the main desk. The housekeeping staff was very good. Location is best. Overall, it was a fine stay.

You can hire a rickshaw for the day and a guide who will take you to the prime visit sites.
The local VIRASAT dances and puppet shows are an absolute MUST!

Alternatively they offered to share tel nbr of hotels having dorms about 3-5 km from the hotel which was not accepted.

A truly lovely city without the chaos of Jaipur or Delhi. It felt like an oasis. The city centre is very exciting - and attractive. The sunset boat ride is a must, also the puppet show at the museum, and the folk dancing at the city palace.
This is the place to choose if you want the luxury of a hotel and warmth of a homestay. It was a lovely heritage property, at a walkable distance from the city palace and other tourist attractions. The best part was definitely the gracious owners and the lovely staff. I highly recommend this place in Udaipur.

Considering what one pays for the room, the scale of amenities are limited owing to the fact that it is a heritage property, the overall experience makes up for all the lags.
Would recommend to anyone visiting Udaipur!
The hotel is spotlessly clean and in the ideal location to explore Udaipur. You can even see the City Palace nearby from the rooftop restaurant; it's very close by. The view from the restaurant is also very beautiful for sunset, and the restaurant has a good menu for all meals of the day.
The hospitality of the staff was very good and special mention and big thanks to Mr Kaushal Sharma for being the good host.
