Excellent property with beautiful views and great location! Needs a little updating. Amenities need to be upgraded. The spa was not the cleanest. Be prepared to wake up very early if in the C wing due to morning Azan, which is beautiful by itself. The buffet for breakfast was quite good.

At first I was hesitate to travel to Kashmir. However, I made the decision to book this trip with Hotel Lavender . The management of hotel did an excellent job of assuring everyone on the trip felt safe the entire time. With accommodation, transportation, horse back riding, food in Pahalgam the trip was truly an enjoyable experience. I would have never been able to organize a trip like this on my own. So the price was very reasonable with this in mind. Travel Srinagar is truly a professional company that has experience and knowledge of this region.
The area is so beautiful it is literally a can't miss if you are traveling in the North of India. I look forward to coming back and possibly staying in Hotel Lavender. which he is currently putting the finishing touches on before opening.

Dal lake is it's prime spot. Shikara ride is the most impressive - we went on a Shikara ride both in the evening
(sun down) and in the afternoon (sunny) and the lake offered great scenery both the times.
there were vendors with floating markets in the middle of the lake - was a very cool offering.
Botanical gardens and flora in general are very impressive.
Pahalgam was dusty and an uphill task to ride till the Swiz garden but an adventurous experience.
Shankaracharaya temple on the hilltop is a very positive place and offered great aerial view of the valley.
Mosques are also built in huge areas and provide a good ambience.

October temperature was great, not too hot not too cold. The old city was interesting especially around the Jama Masjid. Dal lake tours offered open water with mountain views and smaller canals to explore, and early morning veg market for those who don't mind a 4 a.m. start. Wonderful crafts and food. We shall be back

I liked nature.
I liked nature. But truly saying the People of Srinagar are very very very bad. They have just 1 thing in their mind that Kashmir hamara hai. Yahan bas ghoomne aao aur bhaago yahan se. Every time every person is asking for BAKSHISH like Beggars.
Nature have given them a lot and they are eating of it. They dont know how to speak with love to customers. Charge extra for everything. Want free tips.

Keep low expectations for the beauty, Dal Lake is dirty and need massive clean up. facilities for families (especially ladies) are very basic and unhygienic. Food is over priced. Phalgam is overrated. Gulmarg cable car ride is ok if not crowded. Mughal gardens in the city are not so great after these many years. Morning and sunset views are nice for pictures.

The best thing that i liked the most about this stay is cleanliness and hygiene. Now a days it is hard to find such hotels but this one is literally different in every aspect. Along with that the staff and the host Tanveer bhaiya are especially very well mannered and warm in nature.
