The motel was well located in a quiet area but still within walking distance to the central area of town. Our room was clean and comfortable and any items not in the room were quickly provided. The breakfast provided, while simple, was delicious and the breakfast manager was wonderful. He even had our dosa's sliced to avoid us mangling them. He was also extremely helpful in organising tours for us as he spoke beautiful english. Peppers restaurant upstairs had a wide range of dishes all well cooked and served. A lovely touch was the warm water finger bowls provided at the end of the meal. Although there were some language difficulties everything was overcome and always with a huge smile. Special mention to our wonderful smiling doorman.

Shimoga is the best place for stay food is good.
Shimoga is the best place for stay food is good. But if you ate traveling in other state vehicle it's not the best place to go. I got a very bad experience in Gandhi Bazar road were I parked and went for shopping. One local guy purposely came and hit my car and made a big mess and some 50 people surrounded and damaged my car. After police came every body ran away. So pls be careful when driving inside shimoga.

A small town with well laid out roads.
A small town with well laid out roads. The town planner should plan placing direction boards along road junctions, for the benefit of travelers.
Gandhi park which is a tourist spot could have been better maintained, a parking lot also could assist folks visiting the park. I could not visit the Lion safari as it had closed for the day.
The drive to Jog falls is simply awesome. The scenic beauty enthralls and the road is a pleasure to drive. Breakfast at Sagar is a good option, the hotel I stopped at served a scrumptious meal! (pardon me for not recollecting the name of the hotel)

The drive to Shimoga and further to Jog Falls is a great experience, except a few small patches which need to be done up ! The hills with its vegetation is quite lovely and Jog Falls is so very beautiful.

A very famous tourist destination in Karnataka, Shimoga also has a storehouse of stuff to offer its shopaholic visitors. It is mainly famous for handicrafts, rosewood carvings, sandalwood, sarees with Kasuri work and wooden toys laced in lacquer.
I visited Jog Falls on 28th Jan this year.
It was in mind for a long time to visit this place. My wife wanted to see it for a long time... I have heard a lot about this waterfall and its second-highest plunge waterfall position in India.
So this time I and my wife decided to go there and take one day for Jog Falls from our busy schedule in Shimoga...
it is awesome.....
good experience
enjoy Shimoga heritage...

I recently stayed at this hotel with my parents and was thoroughly impressed. The location is absolutely perfect. From the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly welcome. Every staff member, from the gate attendants to the receptionists, went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their warm hospitality made a significant difference, and I truly appreciated their attentiveness. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a convenient and welcoming place to stay.
Easy to locate the hotel. The road construction work is in progress, but reaching the hotel was not a challenge since most of the "pits" were covered with sand. The breakfast was above average. The staff is courteous. Security guard was very helpful and assisted with the parking of the vehicle.
In hotel they didn’t provide water bottles also and bed is very hard and very worst property not good not referring to others and car parking also not their
