Beautiful city to stay for holidays. Airforce museum required more time to explore which was not possible. Cathedral church and all society church could not be visited due to shortage of time. One more day was required to explore completely.

The villages nearby are also pretty chill but almost every place needs an entry ticket, or a parking token of some kind. This could get hefty if you are in a group.
Also, people should be physically prepared to hike/walk quite a bit.

excellent,new hotel started by a hospitable and courteous young man. It is about 20 km outside the town,amidst serene surroundings.Visitors will get a good idea about the beauty and calmness of Rural Meghalya.
Shillong town is crowded with massive traffic jams.Manpha's hotel is a great option to avoid the urban sprawl and enjoy this beautiful part of India.

It was a perfect choice , walkable distance from Polo ground and Police bazar. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully maintained. Can easily accommodate up to a group of 7-8 people. The owner is exceptionally helpful, always checking in to ensure comfort. Hotel was very nice. Mr. Nandu Ali (Manager) is very friendly & co-operative. We got our breakfast after 8 am. But day tour started from Meghalaya Tourism at 8 am. Property person should look into it. They will serve breakfast at 8 am for tourist. Otherwise everything is very much satisfied.
It was a pretty cosy property with all the amenities. The location is very close to police bazar and easily accesible and the host were very kind and available at all times. The cleanliness and maintenance was spot on!
