We were traveling from Bangalore to Pune and chose to halt here for an overnight stay. Due to long hours of driving, we needed some rest and I believe we made the right choice in booking this stay. The rooms were clean and well-lit. The queen-sized bed and the sheets were clean. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The staff also offered to wash my car. The food was worth the taste and the portion was fulfilling. Its a good place to stay in Satara.

There are many options other than Kaas plateau. Great options for sightseeing like Ajinkytara Fort, Sajjangad fort, Boating at Bamnoli, Windmills at Chalkewadi and Thosegar Falls all make for a good 2-3 day stay at Satara

Satara is a beautiful town surrounded by beautiful forts,...
Satara is a beautiful town surrounded by beautiful forts, mountains, forests, lot of greenery except summer season and pleasant weather.
The town has almost all the facilities one needs and has good transportation. Outskirts of Satara is a treat for nature lovers. Windmills near Chalkewadi were my favorite spot.

I visited the Ajinkyatara fort which was beautiful.
I visited the Ajinkyatara fort which was beautiful. Lunch at Banana leaf and Manas was the highlight of the trip. However, a day at Satara is enough. More than that is a waste of time. Nothing much to do or see or look around.

Satara is just green and beautiful in Rainy.
Satara is just green and beautiful in Rainy. We were off to Kas pathar .. though the bloom was less the climate was very pleasant with sunny weather and drizzles in between and so was the Kas lake...
Next day we visited Thoseghar waterfall.. it was absolutely beautiful..
Full of green mountains and valley..
The Kas service was very good with buses running from / to the pathar back to parking.
We enjoyed every bit of the local food - kanda Bhaji, Bhakari, Roasted bhutta.. and ..masala chai
