They Guy Sanjay/Sanjib was trying to help us in all directions. But unfortunately he felt to do so due to lack of management support. The Manager was not friendly in talking while he was asking for the broken glass charge.

As the hotel is so central we stroll out to do all our practical shopping, plus luxuries like FabIndia (across the street!), beautician visit, weekend bazaars for quality local hand-woven fabrics, etc.

A 2 day break after a hectic 5 day week amidst city traffic and pollution would be anybody's welcome. We stayed at Tent No. 103 at Matha Forest Resort for 3 nights from 17/11. The scenic beauty with mountains and greenery surrounding all around was much enjoyed. Sitting on the tent verandah enjoying the early morning sun and the evening wintry chill with hot piping coffee mug in your hand is a thing to cherish forever. But the Katla Kalia had in the Dining Room of the property just did not reach our expectations and the taste was simply so 'hathke' or just too too dreaded. To double sure their recipe, I tried twice but it was no good. Hard luck. B'fast and food otherwise were okay. We had also traveled to Eco Adventure Resorts and Kushal Palli, so as to have a glimpse of the properties. Hospitality of the staff deserves a special mention, especially Mr. Karan and his team. They made us feel so homely. In a nutshell Matha Forest Resort is value for money for a weekend trip.
