Although I am a Puneite, I have shifted location since last 2 years and am visiting back. Pune is changing, very fast, not necessarily for the good. But there are areas with hills, lakes like Pashan which stand out. Traveling within Pune is the bugbear and this continues to be so. This makes it expensive and a bit cumbersome to move from place to place. The real wealth of Pune (the cultural aspect) is still intact and to the discerning visitor, this is still the charm. Walking trails (there are several adjoining Kothrud, Pashan, Baner etc) are something which Pune can be proud about

Pune has a long and great history.
Pune has a long and great history. It spans From Shivaji Maharaj through independence movement till now. So plenty of things to see and enjoy. There are no modern parks, but big shopping malls, with sometime pass thrown in. It has good golfing facilities and great natural beauty to visit within an hours drive. The issue is traffic and long driving time. Also, you may not be able to locate places of interest with the help of map. Getting some sort of help will save you time. The Metro rail is coming and hopefully by 2025, the commuting will improve.

We can plan of Pune for one day as if we can start with Dagduseth halwai Ganpati darshan & then nana Wada with Shaniwar Wada that will be completed 4 hours tour in Manpa area with window shopping or if you want to buy some things and in evening you can reach at Aga khan palace before 3:30pm as it will be closed at 5:30pm IST in the end you can go to Phoenix market city .

The place itself is amazing and this is my 4th stay in o hotel pune and staff is absolutely amazing and they offered us a welcome drink and our booking had done in no time. Mr.Mac is the awesome guy who deals with us everytime we go there.
