Everything was ordinary. If one goes there exclusively for a stay, it is an okay kind of property in a good hill and jungle setting, but if one wishes to visit Kedarnath, this is NOT the place where one should be staying. It is approximately a 3-hour (off-route) drive from the point where the trek for Kedarnath starts. 3 hours drive in the Himalayan Hills isn't an easy feat. Also, the property is not fully accessible by car (as Mr. Nilesh mentions and insists); there is a reasonably long bridge and a stretch of walk you have to cover before you reach the gate. A car cannot take you there! The only thing I liked about the property was the sound and smell of the jungle.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay along the banks of the Alaknanda River with my family while Badrinath trip, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. Though the front view may not immediately impress, once you step inside, you're greeted with a serene, cozy atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. The interiors are thoughtfully designed, clean, and radiate a homely vibe, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The homestay is run by an Ex-Defense personnel, whose cooperative and warm nature adds to the overall experience. The location by the river adds a peaceful, natural beauty that truly enhances the stay, with the gentle sound of the flowing Alaknanda always in the background.
If you're looking for a perfect place to stay with family after or before your visit to Badrinath then you should consider this place.

Very clean place with lots of space, great view of river (listening to river while sleeping was very peaceful) and home cooked food was delicious! Host was very helpful to me. I am from USA and do not speak Hindi and needed help to get to next destination, he waited at the road for me to get bus and made sure I had the correct one. He was very kind, thank you!
