Nagercoil is enroute to Kanyakumari(Cape Comrine), therefore, for everyone traveling to see Cape Comrine from the North will pass through this city. It isn't a big city of the kind you would expect like Madurai, for instance. But it is a significant place for those staying down South. Relatively quiet city but the roads aren't great unlike the rest of Tamil Nadu. However, the people are simple and down-to-earth. You can stay overnight here & proceed to Kanyakumari to view the sunrise early morning. You will find the accommodations relatively cheap compared to Kanyakumari.
