They did not provide the receipt for the room as promised - this despite e-mail reminders and the phone number listed against their listing in booking.com is non-functional.
The saff is very friendly and accommodating and I would walk a mile for their seafood.

The temple complex is spread out but well worth the walking!
The temple complex is spread out but well worth the walking! This is 10th Century granite carving at its best - I really was impressed with Arjuna's Penance.
Plenty of places to eat good fish dinners and local folk were friendly and helpful.

I might have stayed another night or two.
I might have stayed another night or two. We didn't have a chance to explore very far, and I had enough shopping. Our hotel had room service for food which was wonderful.
We ate at a rooftop fish restaurant and it was very bland. I was hoping for spicy food! Breakfast at Joes Cafe was good. It seemed to be the hot spot for Westerners.

Very near to Chennai, with a peaceful atmosphere.

It’s better to do the monuments early in the morning and...
It’s better to do the monuments early in the morning and hire a guide who will ride with you to take you to all the monuments as it’s too hot in June. It will take around 3 hours or more.
If you have nice zoo in your city for crocodiles and alligators then avoid the crocodile park as it doesn’t have anything special. Rest there’s nothing else to do in Mahabalipuram. Food in restaurants like A2b n all depends upon how clean you would like your food to be, I found the restaurant extremely crowded and unhygienic.

This hotel was everything I needed and more. It's very close to the stone temple and beach. Easy walking distance to everywhere I wanted to go.
The guys working in reception were helpful throughout my whole stay. One even helped me sort out my next travel plans.
The room had toiletries as well as a kettle with tea and coffee. Breakfast was pretty good! As a solo female traveler, I felt comfortable, safe, and cared for here at this hotel.
The Room was neat and Tidy. The host allowed us for early check in of 9AM and also provided the extension to stay till 5 PM for a reasonable price. The Guesthouse location is situated at a walkable distance for all the Mahabalipuram Tourist Sites. I highly recommend this place to stay with family!!
I HAVE BOOKED THE ROOM THROUGH BOOKING.COM HOEWEVER, ON THE BOOKING DAY NO ONE FROM THE HOTEL STAFF PICK UP MY PHONE EVEN I REACHED THE MAHBALIPURM AND SHOWN THE HOTEL ADDREES PROVIDED IN THE BOOKING NO ONE KNOWN THE LOCATIONS. BAD EXPERIENCE.
First impression was poor, the hotel is far from the city. The room is clean the staff is friendly. You can walk to the private beach, and walk in the waves, no swimming. Breakfast was nice, and service perfect.
The rooms and hotel itself were clean, and we had a comfortable parking space. The staff was helpful. Location is near the beach and other attractions.
