From the moment we arrived till our departure two days later, Ratan Vilas was our home away from home. We loved the room! The level of service was exceptional and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had an amazing time. The food was superb. The highlight was splashing in the pool after a yoga session.

Nowadays it is easy to find very nice hotels that belong to luxury chains but finding a 100% professional service is very difficult, however in this hotel you will find excellence in service, the old school in hospitality where customer service is totally personalized. Fabulous Fort and surrounding views. Would have loved more time to explore the area. Being able to eat in and enjoy the pool at the hotel made the stay tranquil in a very busy itinerary. As a solo lady traveller walking with sticks I felt very safe and welcome here. The Fort has some very steep steps and may be too much of a challenge if walking is a problem. There were some other places of interest I would have liked to visit but was advised that it would be too difficult with sticks.

Jodhpur is a max 2-3 day stay where Mehrangarh fort is worth visiting while Umed Palace is a waste of time.
Mandore gardens with light n sound show at 7(hindi)/7:30(english) is good.
Shopping is great in Tripolia and tambaku market. Avoid ghanta ghar and main street shops.
If you planned for more days like us then try going for safari or lake visit or bishnoi Village.

The fort is awesome, but what will remain priceless for me is the old city with its ancient doorways, the life of normal people in the old town.
We absolutely loved staying in the Suraj Haveli with its delightful and quaint rooms and the view from the rooftop restaurant.

Staying in beautiful Jodhpur was brightened up by this wonderful hotel! The service was top notch. Hot water was available at all hours of the day and night (unlike many hotels in India). Bottled drinking water was provided in unlimited quantity. The staff was helpful in all matters, including finding a great driver at a low cost to move to the next town. The food in the hotel restaurant is very good and if you don't like something, they change it or don't include it in the bill. Many thanks to the staff for the warm welcome!
So there is the greater city most of which tourists don't need to explore. But this place sits in the heart of the original old blue city. It is a grand old building hidden in the small walk ways of the old city. It is 500 years old and the interior is just as amazing as the views. If you want a 5 star hotel then this isn't for you if you want to stay in a location with amazing views and amazing access to the fort and the old city and a photographers dream location then this is it. I will let my photos do the talking.
Chef at Hotel is very good. Hospitality is good. Staff is ready to fulfil ur requirements to their best. Hotel owner is polite, cooperative, having good knowledge of jodhpur, guide well.
Professional and welcoming staff. Room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and had a nice view. Breakfast was excellent - the best I’ve had at a hotel in India. Nice and quiet too.
