It was a great city especially the evening and night life alongside the mighty Brahmaputra river. I guess a lot of improvements are happening on the river front development, I guess it will only get better.

A big pleasure to be in and around the city.
A big pleasure to be in and around the city. But make sure to avoid the main roads during peak traffic hours and the bazaars at most times. Enjoy the ropeway over the mighty Brahmaputra. The Assam state museum is definitely worth a visit.

Please Stop That Slaughtering Business In The Temple ....We Don't Offer Non Veg As Prashad In Our Homes Then Why Are These Slaughtering Being Done And Why Is This Being Allowed By All The Hindu Sants.
No Cleaniliness Is Not Being Maintained In The Mandir Premises.... Animal Excreta Is All Over The Place In The Mandir. I Didn't Felt Like It Was A Hindu Temple. Do Something About It.

The city has high air pollution.
The city has high air pollution. It is the gateway to all the prominent northeast locations. Not a city worth taking a long halt. Two nights are decent enough the leave for shillong or Nagaland. Take a tour to Brahmaputra river front.

We had a very pleasant stay at Parnil Palace. Rooms were a little dated but very good value for the price and location. Excellent hot water but be prepared for a 10-15 wait to enable the geyser to heat up. Breakfast was basic but staff readily met our needs for a different option. The location was very good, a number of restaurants and food outlets in close proximity. Transport - auto rickshaws, taxis, rickshaws - was readily available on hotel doorstep. About 10 -15 minutes from Guwahati railway station - hotel has own car if needed.
A very comfortable, clean room and a fabulous hot water shower! The beds are huge and there are drawers, dressing table and wardrobe. Towels and complementary water bottles provided.
Very helpful staff who could advise on safaris, orchid farm/cultural show and help with onward travel. The hotel has their own jeep so organising a safari last minute was no problem.
Great location only a short walk from where the bus from Guwahati drops you and therefore very close to main safari gates.
The whole team at sui hotel were excellent very attentive always willing to help with a smile super new hotel and very well done the room had everything we needed and I'm sure if anything was missing it would be provided to you really modern rooms a nice dining room on the 4th floor. An absolute oasis in the craziness that is guwahati thank you everyone at sui
A wonderful boutique hotel, truly recommend, courteous and attentive staff, breakfast was filling and tasty. A very central location down a lovely side street to explore Guwahati. Rooms were very clean.
