Online booking option is not working.

Online booking option is not working. Also, we need at least 2-3 hours to cover all caves and 1 hour in ticket queue. Caves timing is till 6 pm hence stop giving tickets post 4 pm as we cannot cover the caves.

    Excellent caves... though they repeat.

Excellent caves... though they repeat. Good for meditation and kailas temple. One needs to have good energy and legs to visit. As you will be climbing steps a lot. Ghrishneshwar jyotirlinga is excellent. And you can get mahadev's blessings. Food is ok as it usually is when you travel.

A real OMG experience, the caves are extraordinary the rock carvings are a must see you need 2 days to take it all in. It is also a friendly community to visit, very good food and accommodation is available. This was like an oasis to visit great scenery everywhere you looked, just loved it!

Ellora is a village with relatively few facilities although the Hotel Kailash is well equipped to cater for a lengthier stay. There are possible outings from the hotel to surrounding sites of interest temples, caves, silk mall, wood carving centres etc with personnel (I would recommend Sadik - he has a small shop across and up from the hotel a bit and the hotel know him well) available locally to source transport, tickets, goods etc. They are very fair on pricing - its not a place where you would expect to be ripped off. In fact for me Sadik (local vendor and organiser) went well out of his way to make sure I saw all I wanted even when there was nothing in it for him. They are genuine, authentic people

Stone carving of Ellora is really wonderful.

Stone carving of Ellora is really wonderful. We can't believe that the people had such skill and knowledge for carving of giant rock into heritage caves in ancient age. It is proud that India have such monuments and heritage sites.
