What an amazing place. Beautifully and peacefully located in the middle of the mountains. The accommodation is incredible and the rooms so bright, clean, and comfortable. We had everything we needed. Many thanks to the manager who made sure we had everything we needed at any moment. He was of great help when we wanted to organize transportation and activities. Would recommend it to everyone who is looking for a quiet place in nature. Food is super super tasty and available at any time you like.

We were upgraded to a villa room on arrival which was such a lovely touch to the start of our stay in Windy Mist.
The view, bed, staff and location couldn't be faulted.
I would highly recommend staying here.
The taxi driver who picked us up from the airport also then took us on an all out adventure day. They worked together with the hotel to ensure we wanted for nothing and had the most amazing 48 hours in the area.

We experienced cold and rainy weather most of the time. Hiking is beautiful but leeches are a BIG problem in the rainy season. Tea plantation s are everywhere and a re gorgeous but i didn't love the tea itself.
All in all its a good location for nature and serenity lovers.

Although reaching the resort was not particularly exciting , we quite liked the place once we got there. There are not enough signboards to take us to the resort from the main road. Fortunately we got the caretaker of the resort on the phone who gave us directions. If by any chance his phone was unavailable that would have meant the end of our holiday !! It is a clean place with reasonable facilities. Staff were more than ready to help us even though some of them looked a bit glum. Food was mediocre, a bit too spicy though. Would have been good if cloth slippers were provided considering that the floors were cold. Also a shame that there was no Wifi. Despite this I may decide on going there again as our family of 6 + 2 kids had a great time. There's a stream within the property which was really nice. Wish there was no litter lying around ( I know it is difficult as the property is huge). Don't miss the trek through the cardamom plantations !!

Good scenic beauty. Love to have stayed for another day.
Good scenic beauty. Love to have stayed for another day. Do good research about the place you are going to stay, don't just go by the name. When you are travelling with family avoid late evening and early morning travel the hillside beside road is mostly non Rocky so I fear there maybe a mudslide if heavy rains are there. Check the photopoint I have posted that's the only place for good background rest all other spots they just bulid up the back ground

Since the road from Munnar to Chinnakkanaal is damaged due to landslide, you need to travel neatly 50 kms through Rajakkad. And there's no tourist attractions except Anayiranghal dam, Kolukkumala and Tea plantations. Don't plan your tour to Chinnakkanal. Plan your trips to proper Munnar. There are no good restaurants too at this place.

Chinnakanal is a very beautiful scenic place.
Chinnakanal is a very beautiful scenic place. Most of the people go to Munnar as a habit ignoring places like Chinnakanal and get stuck with city crowd and traffic. If you are a person looking for silence and serenity Chinnakanal is the best. Also there is a number of site seeing locations like Aanyiragal dam, Kolukkumalai, tea estates etc for those who need outdoor fun.

The area is close to a hike(Kolukkumalai) and few other tourists attractions. One would require self transport to go around this part of the town. 2 days are enough to explore. The temperature drops low in the evening and one would require warm clothes.
